It is the same material used to produce all of our food storage items. Sterilite does not use any harmful materials in the production of our products.

These plastics do not contain PVC's, Latex, Teflon, Phthalates chemicals, fungicides, Bishphenol A (BPA), or antibacterial chemicals. Nor do we use them in the manufacturing process of our items.

I like the size of this bin and the fact that the lid is attached but I have had issues with two arriving broken (which Target DID replace). My only suggestion, which really isn't about the bin but directed to those who pack the orders, if a customer orders a food item, like tortilla chips and a highly scented item, like fabric sheets, please do NOT place both of them in a bin!!! The only thing this did, other than save a little room, was give me Bounce scented chips. That's just wrong--you don't mix foods with household goods, especially if they're scented. Period.

Fits nicely on standard wire closet shelf. There is a lot of wasted space between the closet shelf & ceiling. There fit so well, I'm going back for more to use 2 stacked across the entire closet. I like the hinged lid too.

Payreally close attention to the inside measurements because that hinge causes a lot of wasted space and if you’re going to put these containers side-by-side on a shelf you’re going to lose a really lot of space which I’ve taken a picture of on my shelf to show people what I mean. Also, even when it’s latched down, there is a gap between the lid and the container itself so air will easily get in. I would think bugs could get in. It just doesn’t have a good seal at all.

Love this 30 qt. Hinged lid latch box! I am a person who thrives on organization but is hardly ever organized. I like this box because of the latched lid and because you can see through it. I tend to overload bigger boxes and then have no idea what’s in them. This box is the perfect size.

These boxes are good quality, somewhat flexible plastic that does not crack easily. The hinge on one side is a nice feature. The lid is also removable if needed. The clear plastic allows for contents to be visible. Great for storing seasonal items on shelving in my garage. Price is reasonable.

Sterilite shows top outside dimensions as 18 ⅝ x 14 x 11 ⅛, which is what I needed for a project. Since plastic is less than ⅛ thick, one would assume the inside dimensions are about the same. However, the container's dimensions are really 16 x 12.5 x 10.5, quite a bit smaller. Turns out the lid's top has a widw frame around it, and the locking handles are very wide, thus adding 2+" to the length and width. VERY misleading, and disappointing.

I like the thick smooth plastic, great handles, and the flip top is a cool bonus. I bought 5 to organize my kids closet. But after packing it I really didn't like seeing the clutter thru the transparent bin so I will repurpose to store less messy stuff. I found a good use to display my Care Bear collection to keep it dust free and I can enjoy seeing it. I am using latch in the back so it does not distract from the display. Maybe one day I will have a better way to display but for now this is perfect with 5 Care Bears in a bin and I have about 25 bears for now. Sterilite is the best but I want more modest color options in the opaque bins so I will keep looking for my kids closet bins.

Shopper picked out one missing the latch , which I did not notice until I started my project. On a subsequent trip I went in the store and there it was loose in another tote. The shoppers at times dont pay attention to quality. As the tote was also scuffed up. I would not have picked this one out. So,lesson learned, got to inspect your stuff before you drive away.
