Liquid is cloudy, terrible looking, can't even see lava flowing!

The glass gets super hot and so does the metal base that’s holding the lava lamp which makes it quite unsafe for children. The base is also not built well and doesn’t actually have a great grip on the glass. This would be an object best for up and away.

This item arrived in perfect condition with the most perfect lava pattern, and I am loving it for the price

Turned it on for the first time and it was on for about 5 minutes before the light bulb burned out. It's also more green looking than blue but no idea if that changes once it's working since, well, you know.

SUPER cute lava lamp. The first one I bought in-store was cloudy, so I exchanged it for one that was clear. It's OK to ask the store associate to check the package and make sure you aren't buying a cloudy one. two other styles I bought online were also clear which was a pleasant surprise based on the other reviews here. I think they get cloudy if they are shipped when it's hot outside. The wax melts and they get jostled around.

60, 70, 80's retro. I love this lamp but it gets very hot. Can not be used around children. Glass reaches 123 degrees.

SUPER CLOUDY!!! Doesnt look good at all. Very disappointing, my daughter picked this out to use her birthday gift card on.

I was pretty disappointed with how cloudy the water is bit seeing how poorly shipped it was I'm not surprised it got shaken up a lot. The lava is also somewhat translucent so combined with the cloudy lava it's sort of a blurry mess.

Bought this with another lamp that I've just received... the word "disappointed" falls VERY short! This one is worse that the other lamp in every aspect... the water is EXTREMELY cloudy, the base and cap are such inferior material that one was dented and I had to push it back... which I did with just my bare hands, that's how soft it is. The worst thing for me is the wax... it's no where near as bright and lovely as in the picture, which is a massive misrepresentation. Worse than that is that this wax, no matter what I have tried, is FULL of bubbles! It literally looks like foam in person, almost like shaving foam! This lamp is atrocious.

Works great! Color is vibrant and beautiful. Due to the bad reviews on it suddenly stopping working… it has a light bulb people. It does need replacing over time.

Light bulb lasted a month. Cloudy liquid.

I bought this lava lamp for my eight year old daughter for Christmas and we love it. It looks exactly as pictured. The color is beautiful. It is built well and worth the price. I was concerned that it would get to hot but surprisingly is doesn’t at all! Even after hours of being on you can still place your hand on it and it’s just warm definitely won’t cause a burn. It’s a great lamp for kids if your looking for one!
