Q: how do i recycle the tank when empty!? we bought one last year and it was great until it was time to dispose of the tank. sad face.
A: I followed directions I found on YouTube which showed me how to use a screwdriver and hammer to open the hole at the top of the tank to release all of the helium entirely. Then you use a permanent marker to circle the opened hole and write "empty" next to it and then I just put it in my regular recycle bins which get picked up bi-weekly.
submitted bymjl411 - 8 years agoA: You will need to contact your city or county to find out where they would like you to take hazardous household waste.

Q: how many cubic feet of helium does this hold?
A: Pressurized 14.9 cu ft but in a balloon up to 27 cu ft that could be 27 11 or 12" balloons same goes for 18" foil balloons.
submitted byJigglypvff - 8 years agoA: The details says 14.9 cubic feet
submitted byCrystal - 9 years agoA: 14.9 cubic feet

Q: Will it fill up 2 42" foil ballons and how long will it last?
A: Yes, definitely. Not sure if you're asking how long the tank will last or the balloons so I will try to answer both. I've used the tank for 2 parties several months apart simply by making sure the valve is tightly closed. Once the balloons are inflated I would say they don't last quite as long as the ones you would get at a party store, but who needs balloons hanging around for 3 weeks anyway? They last at least a few days and as much as a week in my experience. I have used the tank to inflate balloons for the day of my children's birthday and then if their party happens to be a week later, I've used the tank on party day to add a little more helium in them to keep them looking fresh and new.
submitted bymjl411 - 8 years agoA: Foil/Mylar balloons can float up to 4 days. it depends on the size of the balloon how many it can fill.

Q: What is the purity (for example, 99%) of the helium provided?
A: 70/30 it pretty low but “enough” to keep your balloons afloat for awhile.
submitted byJigglypvff - 8 years agoA: 80/20

Q: Is there oxygen mixed in with the helium?
A: Thanks for your question. To clarify, our tanks contain a helium/air mixture with not less than 80% helium, carefully formulated to float standard latex balloons for 5–7 hours and foil balloons for up to 4 days . Factors like balloon age, size, material, inflation, and even altitude can affect float performance. For even longer float times with latex balloons, use HI-FLOAT (sold separately), which prevents helium from escaping. If you have questions or need assistance, we’re always happy to help at balloontime@wthg.com! 🎈

Q: I have twenty-two 18inch foil heart balloons that I need filled, does any one know how many tanks I'll need?
A: If using a Standard Balloon Time Tank (~8.9 cu ft): → You’ll need 2 tanks, since one won’t quite cover 22 balloons. If using a Large/Jumbo Balloon Time Tank (~14.9 cu ft): → You’ll only need 1 tank.

Q: how long will balloons float?
A: Latex balloons typically float 5–7 hours , but things like heat, humidity, balloon age and quality, and over- or under-inflation can shorten float time. It’s also important to make sure you pull the knot tight to seal the balloon. For a longer float time, use HI-FLOAT (sold separately), which coats the inside of latex balloons and helps them float longer.

Q: I have 17 foil 23 inch horse balloons and 26 20 inch foil daisies and six 12 inch foil daisies, how much helium do I need. Thanks
A: You’ll need at least 22 cubic feet of helium. This means two large Balloon Time tanks (14.9 cu ft each) should be enough with some buffer. One standard tank will not be sufficient.
