Disappointed
I like the lamp. The first two I ordered lasted almost a year and a half before the on/off tab stops working. After throwing away the first one I purchased another with ac2 year protection plan. Last night my second lamp that is about 1.5 yrs old also had the on/off switch stop working. These lamps aren't used daily either. Yes, I checked the lightbulb. The lamp also sits crooked on carpet.

2nd time - still horrible
The lamp trunk pieces do not screw together properly - the bottom piece that attaches to the base is defectively slanted / not aligned. It shows the silver threads due to not being able to be screwed in and the rest of the pieces are similar. The whole thing leans. Target, given all of the bad reviews on this lamp - why are you still selling this? Customers are buying this multiple times in order to see "what's wrong" and it is just a badly manufactured lamp. Get it off your website.

Came rusty
Lamp prong came straight of the box as pictured. Clearly rusty and painted over black. However, this doesn’t conceal it at all. And the paint flakes off at any gentle touch. Sadly, if it were in an inconspicuous spot I could still use this lamp. However, it’s front and center as this is the top that holds the lampshade to the pole. Very disappointing. If they want to make things right…they ought to send me a new piece to use instead of this one. After paying $85 for a lamp I’d hope to not unpack it and find rusty ruined parts.
