Q: This version is adorable , but why did they change it from metal to plastic? . I have the original and it’s still in good shape because it was made of metal and it still looks great!

It's cute, and the lights look good when you have full batteries in it. But it eats batteries! I even used the timer function and after a few days, the lights looked dim. So I changed the batteries to new ones and tried again with the timer function, and it did the same thing. After a few days, the bulbs dimmed. So this thing definitely eats batteries. But it's cute and I would only use it once a year anyway.

This is really cute but I’m not sure how well it would do outside. I think the biggest downside (other than not coming with batteries) is that the on-off button is on the back, so you are supposed to hang it up somewhere but then you have to take it back down, or at least pull it off the wall, to turn it on or off. The instructions explain the timer, but it’s really weird, it stays on for 6 hours, then off for 12, then goes on and on until the batteries die. Again, cute, but I have questions about the design haha

I received these products for free from the Hey, Bullseye™ sampling program in exchange for my honest review. From a distance this looks really cute but it's very much plastic. Some of the backing don't doesn't look like it fits very well. The battery compartment was a bit tricky to get unscrewed (yes, you need a screwdriver). That being said it is cute. I appreciate that it has a timer option.

This is a cute little plastic decoration. I don’t like that the bulbs cannot be replaced. This means that after a bulb goes out, this will have to be thrown away. I would prefer replaceable bulbs. Also, you need a screwdriver to be able to put the batteries in.

I must say I’m happy with my purchase that I returned for a second order. I did the drive up order added a few more items to my order and thankfully I hadn’t left when I realized they didn’t give me my tree so I had to go into the store and I guess the employee just left it behind. So far so good for day one but Target doesn’t allow updates to review so I don’t know how it will last for the season.

This decoration is colorful and cute. It is made of plastic, but it’s not all one piece. The backing is a very thin sheet of plastic screwed on, so I don’t think my kids will handle this. I’ll probably just hang it in their room. It doesn’t come with batteries, so you’ll need a small screwdriver and two AA batteries. I really like that the first button is a timer to preserve that battery life. I also really like how bright the cute little globe lights are. My kiddos will like this whimsical little addition.

This marquee-style Christmas tree light is SO adorable. The bulbs put out a surprising amount of light for something powered by two AA batteries, and the colors are brilliant. I'm especially a fan of the multiple settings: it can be set to "on" or to "timer mode."
