A: Hi, thank you for your question. Q: How do you manually defrost it? A: Unplug the freezer, remove all food, and leave the door open to let ice melt. Use towels to catch water. Avoid sharp tools. Q: How long does it take? A: About 2–6 hours, depending on frost buildup. Hot water in a bowl can speed it up. Q: How much water will collect? A: Roughly 200–400 cubic inches (0.9–1.7 gallons) for a 2.3 cu.ft freezer. Q: How to prevent mold and mildew? A: Wipe dry after defrosting, keep the freezer clean, seal food properly, and keep the door slightly open if unused.
