Amateur artist on a budget
I like to do art and journaling sometimes, coloring isn’t my strong suit so I don’t want to pour too much into fancy supplies before I can comfortably work with colors to some capacity. I saw these and was curious on how they’d do. I’m genuinely surprised there’s any bad reviews on these. It’s a little silly to pay great value prices and expect prismacolor quality. For $2.75, 24 colors, these are fabulous to practice with. I got crayola at the same time as these so I could compare, I did a little swatch (top is the llama one, bottom is the crayolas in attached photos) and they feel and color pretty similarly to each other. When I was doodling with these, I didn’t notice any of the annoying scratchiness you get with some cheap colored pencils. For the price, they’re decently pigmented and don’t do too bad 🤷♀️ I’m sure if you had the skill, you could make some really pretty art with them. Definitely would be great for if you have little kids, I would buy again!

Durable Art Supplies
This is my second purchase of Mondo Llama art supplies. I am a middle school art teacher and purchased these for use with a special needs class that needs who is a little rougher with their supplies. I am incredibly pleased with how well these have held up. My students love them, and I love that they sharpen well and the colored tips don’t break easily under heavy pressure. These will be my go to supplies when durability is needed.

Go with crayola!
Better than crayola? Nope! They are okay at best. Color is very light, and becomes very chalky on paper. There isn’t much difference in the shades of each color. I grabbed the 24 count without actually looking at the colors so I know that’s my fault. I definitely recommend you spend a few extra bucks and go with the crayolas
