Q: How do you change the bulb?

A: Thank you for your interest in this product. This product is equipped with push-in type LED lamps/bulbs. Do not twist lamps. Remove the bulb cover, then pull the lamp and plastic lamp base straight out of lamp holder. Use only the included spare LED bulbs as replacements. Be careful to not switch the order of the colors of the bulbs. You can review the safety instruction manual for a visual and further details. The LED lighting is SO intense. They look like they’re fluorescent. I plugged them in for a total of 2 minutes and decided not to hang them because their output was too intense. Would have kept is it was a true classic warm glow.

These are exactly what I was looking for. Old time feel bulbs that would take me back to Christmas in the 90s but LED so would not get hot. I LOVE how they look on my tree. I hope they last because they are perfect! I also bought them during a 50% off sale so $4.50 was a fabulous price for them!

The difference between the multicolor vs the white are quite different. The white lights suffer from terrible flickering and the plastic globe causes uneven lighting meanwhile the multicolor illuminates evenly. The weep hole on the tip is obvious and ugly unlike the colored ones where its small and less obvious. Its strange they went with two different styles of base as well. The white looks better and more accurate to original lights but has no hooks, the colored ones have hooks but are so small theyre almost useless. Did they go with different manufacturers for these?? The multicolor isnt so bad but you can still see the LEDs inside and ruins the effect. Maybe next year Target can refine these to be better, brighter and less flickering. Shame they didnt give us "The Classic" red, orange, green, blue and white set if they wanted TRUE retro C9 light style.

They are kind of corny. The bulbs glow so bright that you can clearly see them through the plastic, all three of mine sort of flickered too. They would be fun in a golf cart or in a classroom or something. Like that they stay cool. But they won’t look right on our tree

These were disappointing. I could immediately see the strobe/flicker that others described. Maybe some won’t notice this or be bothered by this, but these actually gave me a headache. Also, the “false” bulb shell is VERY translucent, so the actual little LED bulb inside is clearly seen. Makes them seem like a DIY string of lights that need a heavier coating of white on them. Got these when they were 50% off but still going to return them. Just disappointing quality.

These flicker a ton. It’s annoying, I had them on my patio outside so I didn’t see the flickering constantly but the ends also got really dark on some almost like they were burning so now I don’t feel safe leaving these on overnight. Kind of a bummer considering the price
