Q: What is the weight limit for the top shelf? Could it hold a fish tank (~170lbs.)?

A: This table is quite strong; it should be able to support that weight if well distributed and no concern for tipping. You may want to get an anti-tipping kit if over 30"H in total, assuming it would be. One consideration is that due to the nature of the reclaimed wood it is possible the table top will have some raised section/knots, cracks, etc. It should still be level, but just a consideration.
