Q: Does the wooden lid have some kind of seal or does it just rest on the dispenser?

A: No the lid doesn’t have a seal and with moisture with time the lids messes up and also gets moldy. I had to throw mine away

Nice idea but developed a drip after a year
I really liked this at first to store and dispense filtered water from a glass container. After a little more than a year it developed a drip from the spigot. I tried detaching the spigot and tightening the screw and all of the washers but to no avail.

Lid Flaw
Beautiful water dispenser with major flaw. The lid warped within a week of purchasing. The lid no longer seals shut and that poses a hazard for pollutants to enter water dispenser. Target should really redesign the lid and give to anyone who has already purchased it. Huge disappointment.

Dip is a fatal design flaw
The lid does not sit flat. If you push one side down, the other side lift with quite big opening exposed. And the lid does not fit tightly. It floating around. I have no idea why they design the lid this way. This design will cause many potential issue. I really like the apperance of the product. Slik body with wood lid. Very elegant. But for the lid alone, I can not recommend it to anybody. They just need to redeign the lid. Then this is a 5 stars product.

Has minor chips on the glass interior. Might not be serious enough to be a safety hazard, but small chips could still harbor bacteria so still a health hazard. It does look cute, but the make isn’t up to par

Nice and large dispenser
I love this 2-gallon dispenser. It is a very nice modern design. The spigot is not plastic, which is important to me because I don't want plastic materials touching my water. The spigot is not removable and have not had any leaks. The lid is a nice wood design. It just sits on the top and makes it easy to fill up again.

Spigot leaks
I loved this dispenser immediately, the lid was warped from the start but it was still sturdy and the convenient to hold my distilled water. It’s been 9 months with no issues but now the spigot is leaking, tried tightening the bolt but nothing works so I’ll have to purchase a different beverage dispenser. Guess it was good while it lasted for $30.☹️

A little Annoying
I love the chic design but you have to place by the sink because it leaks after every pour. You end up loosing at least a glass of drink by the time your out. The lid did warp when I prepared it and set in the fridge to chill. After a few days the lid straightened out on it it’s own left some cracks though.
