Love this lil thing! I share a freezer with two other roommates so having this personal, space saving ice mold is sooo perfect. I hate re-gilling traditional ice cube trays because they always spill out on me, and this one is so cleverly designed and easy to use. Some people are criticizing that it's tough to open once frozen; the instructions which came with it advise you to fill the mold with hot water, that's why it's shaped that way. I find mine slips right out after a few seconds of running some warm water in there. And then it's so fun to pop out the little cubes and have smaller ice cubes rather than big chunks. I'm such a fan of this thing, definitely try it out if you have limited freezer space or just want an easier way to make ice cubes!

Beware this ice mold leaves some weird residue in your drinks. Even after washing it over and over. Throwing away.

I washed it and filled it with water then popped it in the freezer, the instructions say to fill the middle with warm water and pop it open but wow did it take a while for the lid to pop off, so know that you have to not only get warm water in the middle but just run hot water down the entire thing and it’ll pop out eventually, did form little squares of ice, convenient since it doesn’t take up too much space I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I should have read the description carefully before purchasing this item. I didn’t really this ice mold makes small nugget pieces of ice. By the look of the mold, I thought it would make a cylindrical piece of ice with a whole in the middle. The little pieces of ice is fine. I’m in my 30s and have ok grip strength. I struggled to remove the lid after the ice was frozen. I wouldn’t buy this if you have poor grip strength. The value is ok for what you get. I received an incentive to write this review.

Great value for quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very unique and space saving way to make small ice cubes. You fill the silicone mold with water and then insert the lid. Once frozen, you add warm water to the lid, remove it, and then squeeze the base to remove the cubes. It makes quite a lot of cubes and they are a good size for cold beverages or they can be easily crushed in a blender for smoothies or frozen drinks. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Squeezable Crushed Ice Mold from Room Essentials is a *win*. I initially thought this was one of those circular ice molds for tumbler cups. It isn't. But it is great, and so easy to use! Fill, stick in the feeezer, wait patiently for a few hours (6 to 12), remove the insert, and then gently squeeze the mold (squeeze / rotate) to release the cubes. Very satisfying! My only complaint is that I didn't get cubes from the top row, but I have to play around with the fill level on the cup. Instructions tell you to run warm water inside to help release the lid, but we didn't need to do this. Filled a full 16 oz cup with ice, plus made a fun full disc of ice. I’d recommend filling it over the sink in case it overflows. I don’t think I left it in the freezer quite long enough so the ice cubes were still a little wet, but there were still plenty ready to go. It makes cute little cubes of ice. I like that it’s small enough to easily put into my freezer. I received an incentive to write this review.

I love this thing, it makes little square ice cubes very similar to nugget ice when it melts down a little. I found running it under hot water until the lid comes loose is the easiest way to empty it!!
