Q: Very tempted to get one of these until I saw the problems about notifications (on-off, welcome-goodbye, etc.) being jammed in without owner's consent. Will you let me know if / when this is fixed?

This is part of the programmed computer chip component within the Soundbar and is a component that we are currently committed to. Q: My sound bar randomly turns on and off. And it wouldn’t be an issue except for the extremely loud and obnoxious “power on” “power off”. Why is mine turning on and off randomly when my TV is off? This is my second one and they both have done this.

Our Hearth & Hand Soundbar is equipped with HDMI-CEC technology, which means that once the soundbar is connected to your TV through the HDMI ARC port that even though the TV is off, any other equipment that is connected to your TV can turn the soundbar on or off when that equipment is turned on or off. I purchased this soundbar personally and if I remember correctly the remote was in a plastic bag with the user manual and 2 batteries, and/or it was in a bag taped into the brown cardboard mold that the soundbar ends are in. Either way, we are so sorry for the bad experience, but assure you that this product does come with a remote control. If there truly is no remote then please exchange your product to Target for a new one since it would take weeks to get just a remote to you. The Hearth & Hand Wood Grain Soundbar is a plug-in-only device and does not include a rechargeable battery, so it must be connected to power during use. It does support wireless audio via Bluetooth, using Bluetooth version 5.4, which offers reliable and efficient connectivity for streaming music from compatible devices. As for the watt output, the power adapter output is listed in the product user manual as "DC 22V 2A" which would be 44W, but I am guessing you are actually asking about the speaker watt output (RMS). Like most others, I wouldn't recommend this hunk of junk. Stopped suddenly during use on the 3rd time I used it. Sound quality is poor and when you turn it on and off it says so at such a loud volume it makes you jump. Looks cheap, too. If you decide to buy it, the remote and other pieces everyone says are missing are probably just hidden under the packing material end piece like mine were. I'd already thrown out the box, then couldn't find the remote so I got the box back to repack it and return it and I opened the opposite end and there it was.

Sounds like a tin can. Randomly turns on when the TV is off, I’ve had it 3 days and it’s basically for looks. Thought I got a good deal due to the sale -joke is on me. You get what you waste your money on.

Our Hearth & Hand Soundbar is equipped with HDMI-CEC technology, which means that once the soundbar is connected to your TV through the HDMI ARC port that even though the TV is off, any other equipment that is connected to your TV can turn the soundbar on or off when that equipment is turned on or off. We believe that this may be related to the experience that you are having. Also, we have tested this unit extensively and found the sound quality to be a vast improvement from most televisions and other electronic devices. We even sent our Sound Bar through the extra Dolby Audio certification and passed! So, if you are experiencing sound quality issues the unit may be defective and needs to be exchanged through Target, OR there may be some troubleshooting needed. Just in case you have not returned the Sound Bar yet, let me get into some of that troubleshooting. If the sound is going in and out this points to a weak connection with your television or other device. When using an AUX cord to connect the sound bar and television make sure the two ends are pushed all the way into the television and sound bar. AUX connections are notorious for not being all the way pushed in since they are so much longer than other connections. If connected with an HDMI cable, check the cable is securely in both the television and sound bar, and if you still experience issues then you may want to try another HDMI cord. Also, when connected to a television the master volume on the television and the master volume on the Sound Bar need to be in sync. Many customers find it best to connect the Sound Bar, then using the remote or buttons on the Sound Bar, turn the Sound Bar to its highest volume, and then use the remote control of the television to control the volume. This should give you a nice loud audio output from the Sound Bar. Then use the EQ button to switch between the different pre-programmed sound modes that emphasize different parts of the sound coming from the television, or simply use the Treble or Bass button to make one of those sounds stronger. Great for the price

Not sure why this has such bad reviews. Got this for half the price in store and honestly the sound quality is really great after adjusting bass and treble, plus it gets really loud! Can only attest to music and Bluetooth connection, not sure how TV sounds. For only like $50 you really can’t complain. It may not be as high quality as those $500 soundbars but this is such a fraction of the price it’s worth it if you need a main speaker for music. No issues with connection either. Bonus points that it’s cute.

The sound bar is brand new and the sound goes in and out. The sound bar does not really amplify the volume. There is an obnoxious red/green light thats always on. It's cute, thats about the only thing it has going for it.

Missing remote/batteries, instructions, and aux cord. Called customer service and requested they send missing items and was told to take it back to exchange. Checked the app and told them none in stock except for shipping. Asked that they send me missing items or send replacement with a label to return the one I have. Said she would transfer me to “senior support specialist” even though she identified herself as the same title when she answered. Waited for transfer for 5 minutes and then they disconnected the call!

I waited until this was on clearance for $50. I liked the look of it on the box and figured it wouldn’t be an eyesore. Straight out of the box it looks cheap. The “copper” strips on top look so cheap and were crooked on mine. The sound is even worse. I didn’t realize how good my tv speakers were until I heard this thing. The remote never worked. I’m returning it today. Go back to the drawing board with this one, Gaines!

I bought this sound bar because it was cute and matched the aesthetic of my room. Bad idea. First of all it has a terribly loud "POWER ON" and "POWER OFF" voice that plays when you turn it on/off which is very annoying. Everytime you turn it on it takes a while to get itself situated and it often glitches. The other day for some reason it made a very loud long beeping noise. It's not worth it at all, the sound isn't even good when it is working properly. I regret buying this.

Sound sucks

Literally so pretty, and it’s a bummer it’s the absolute worst sounding Dolby atmos in the world. Such a disappointment

Thank you for your review and feedback! We have tested this unit extensively and found the sound quality to be a vast improvement from most televisions and other electronic devices. We even sent our Sound Bar through the extra Dolby Audio certification and passed! So, if you are experiencing sound quality issues the unit may be defective and needs to be exchanged through Target, OR there may be some troubleshooting needed. Just in case you have not returned the Sound Bar yet, let me get into some of that troubleshooting. If the sound is going in and out this points to a weak connection with your television or other device. When using an AUX cord to connect the sound bar and television make sure the two ends are pushed all the way into the television and sound bar. AUX connections are notorious for not being all the way pushed in since they are so much longer than other connections. If connected with an HDMI cable, check the cable is securely in both the television and sound bar, and if you still experience issues then you may want to try another HDMI cord. Also, when connected to a television the master volume on the television and the master volume on the Sound Bar need to be in sync. Many customers find it best to connect the Sound Bar, then using the remote or buttons on the Sound Bar, turn the Sound Bar to its highest volume, and then use the remote control of the television to control the volume. This should give you a nice loud audio output from the Sound Bar. Then use the EQ button to switch between the different pre-programmed sound modes that emphasize different parts of the sound coming from the television, or simply use the Treble or Bass button to make one of those sounds stronger.
