Great New Sound With Added Subwoofer!!! I think I still prefer a handheld remote(?)

The Vizio 5.1 soundbar (model SV510M) has a well-engineered setup and sounds great in side tests—when it actually works with your system. Unfortunately, this soundbar is a major disappointment in terms of connectivity. It only has a single eARC HDMI input and is not backward compatible with regular ARC or standard HDMI, meaning it will not work properly with many TVs that are just a few years old. For example, I’m using a Vizio V405-H9, a 2020 model (so about five years old now—not exactly ancient), and this soundbar refuses to integrate seamlessly. There are no extra HDMI inputs to work around this limitation either. This kind of forced obsolescence makes no sense—why design a product that alienates a huge portion of existing TV owners? Bottom line: Great sound, poor foresight. If you don’t own the latest TV with full eARC support, skip this one—it’s more frustration than it’s worth.

The soundbar and the subwoofer sound incredible. I don't really hear the satellite speakers much, if any.

I like this product, it's a great budget friendly sound system with excellent sound for the price, my main complaint is that it isn't as Bass heavy sometimes as you'd want, but you can mess around with the EQ settings to improve it a bit. The other thing, it shows you can have a custom EQ, but the latest update removed the custom EQ profile setting, but even when it was still around, you could only have that one profile, you cannot set multiple profiles for different types of content.

Preferred my old one but dogs ruined it. Can't get this to work with my TV remote for sound so I'm using 2 remotes which is crazy.

Don’t turn it up too much because it will definitely make your windows shake. We haven’t tested battery because it stays plugged in, but it always connects fast and displays clearly. It was super easy to set up.

Great sound, very easy setup but a few glitches. Depending on which button on my tv remote I press I lose sound for a bit, very annoying. I do not use the app.

Setup and connection to the TV was simple as could be with a fiber optical cable. You can also just simply connect with Bluetooth if you just want music on. The sound from a system at this price is fantastic! The subwoofer is pretty small in size, but it really packs a lot on bass. The rear speakers attach to the back of the subwoofer and give plenty of length on the wires for even a larger sized living room. The sound bar adjusts itself between just music and movies. The movie audio is awesome! It pushes the sound up sonic fills the room more and you really can tell a difference!
