My son and I both got bitten as soon as we switched to this repellent, it’s not helpful in the slightest even in the mildly humid hot weather of California. It stings too, had to wash off my hands immediately after every application because it burned my hands.

My husband and I literally live and enjoy dinners on our patio sadly when the mosquitoes are most active. Purchased this spray wow keeps the mosquitoes away. The scent is strong it will dissipate after a couple of minutes. I won't buy any spray but this .

Super strong smell, like REALLY strong that it’ll make you cough. I only apply OUTSIDE. I believe this is my 4th try using this and this time it made my skin burn. Be careful with this stuff.

I actually didn't mind the smell all that much like many other reviewers, I've tried and used a lot of other natural essential oil based products like this so am used to it. My issue is that I've tried this in multiple settings in Nebraska where we have mosquitoes really bad right now, and after about five tries with this, reapplying each time, I've given up due to seeing multiple mosquitoes on me within minutes. Glad it works for some but it's apparently not deterrent enough for what we've got around here.

Best Bug Spray

I’ll never use another bug spray again. This lasted all night during a plant medicine retreat outdoors in Ecuador. I was the only one who didn’t need to reapply repellent. It smells great and dries quickly, but can have an oily residue and will definitely sting your eyes, so make sure to wash off any excess from your hands after applying. My only criticism is that the bottle is small and doesn’t last very long.

Please disregard the comments about the smell. This product works. The smell is sort of like Pine-Sol, but that's what keeps the mosquitos away. I think it smells better than most of those with Deet. The kids can enjoy playing outside when it's cooler in the evenings. I wipe down with a wash cloth before bed if they aren't needing a bath.

Strongly scented insect repellent spray. Smells terrible even small amounts. Couldn't stand the fragrance, had to wash multiple times. Can't say if it works mosquites. Returning for a full REFUND. Avoid unless you like bad smells!

Smells like lemons to us

Worked, used this on grandma, me, 6 and 3 year old and no one was bit except on the areas I missed. We applied this outside and I sprayed it onto my hands before applying it to my kids. I didn’t find the smell overbearing as others do. I recommend applying this outside away from face then spread it all over exposed skin, as you should do with insect repellents. Loved it wasn’t overpriced like other natural insect repellents and Grandma loved the lemonish scent.

It does keep away bugs and annoying mosquitoes but be careful if you’re sensitive to smells because this stuff is strong. I can see why it works to keep mosquitoes away. If you’re looking for something odorless don’t buy it.

I was glad to find this product in the store, but after one light application I felt sick from the smell. It's unbearable for me, so I cannot use the product. The full ingredients are undisclosed, so I don't know what causes the chemical, almost petroleum-like odor. Based on so many positive reviews, I may be more sensitive than most people.

This is my go to bug repellent for the summer. At the begging of the season I always purchase 2 bottles. I spray this on before going outside and I remain bite free. I have also sprayed it in the air when there were a lot of bugs around and it helped a great deal. I swear by this spray!
