Q: Is it safe for animals?

A: Strong concentrations of lemon eucalyptus oil can be harmful to dogs, and eucalyptus is extremely toxic for cats in every form especially when aspirated.

A: Misleading answer from Murphy’s Natural Team. Their label may not show an age restriction, but lemon eucalyptus and para-methane-diol are not recommended for children under the age of 3 per the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Q: How does this protect against ticks? The other lemon eucalyptus bug sprays say that they don’t but this one does and there is no additional active ingredient compared to other lemon eucalyptus bug sprays that say they only protect against mosquitoes.

We offer long-lasting protection: our spray is proven to repel mosquitoes for up to six hours, deer ticks for up to four hours, and lone star and brown dog ticks for more than eight hours. CAREFUL ATTRACTS BEES!!!!Kept the mosquitoes away, but attracted the bees more! I just read online the scent attracts bees! On a trip in Jamaica, I’m the only one they were after, hence I had this repellent on. I actually left the beach, I was seriously being attacked. The beach I was on happened to have an onion field next to it so there were more bees than normal. What a bummer.

It does work well but I’m one of those who mosquitos find out if a million and attack so if I don’t reapply every hour they still come after me. Other than that it smells extremely good and I feel so much better putting something on my skin that doesn’t have DEET in it!

I have purchased this item three times this year. Works well with keeping mosquitoes at bay and ticks which were plentiful this year off from me. My dogs sneeze when I initially apply the spray to my clothes but soon stop. I do have a lot of confidence in this product.

A Murphy spray a day keeps the mosquitos and bugs away!! This stuff really works to repel pesky mosquitos and bugs. I love that the ingredients aren't toxic like other branded bug sprays. This spray smells natural and doesn't smell like your typical bug spray. I'll be order extra to gift family and friends this summer season to mitigate against bug bites while outdoors!

I waited to try the product a few times before writing my review. The spray has a pleasant smell and doesn’t smell like most repellents and doesn’t have a greasy feel to it. It did keep the mosquitoes away and lasted quite awhile. I’m totally sold on this product!

I smell to me wasn’t bad at all. But do spray in open air. Don’t breathe it in. I’m going to assume it works. But when I don’t use it I get attacked. Reason for only 3 stars the spray apparatus. It leaks all over your hand. Then you can’t tilt it at all to get all areas of your body. Wash hands right away because if you touch your face it feels numbing and the taste is horrible.

I used this under long sleeves and pants with another (chemical) bug spray on the clothes themselves, but none of it stopped the mosquitoes in northern Wisconsin from biting through my sleeves on a 10 mile trail run. I also got two tick bites

Thank you so much for letting us know about your experience. We are sorry to hear you received 2 tick bites. One suggestion we have for product usage is if you are doing a physically active activity over the duration of a couple hours to reapply sooner than you would in a stationary situation. Sweating can cause the spray to loose contact with your skin and allow for some pesky bites. The best thing to do is reapply every hour or so just to be safe rather than sorry during those high activity times. We also recommend spraying it on top of clothing as well. Best natural insect repellent I’ve found. Works against gnats and chiggers, too. My husband doesn’t use it. He’s had half a dozen ticks the last two seasons. We hike together. I’ve had none. Smells great too.

Amazing! I discovered this product in a sub-tropical environment with really nasty, tiny, mosquitos, and the most obnoxious no-see-ums. Murphy’s worked for me in stopping the bug attacks cold, and actually soothed my existing irritated bites.
