[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved this Tongo Fragrance Free bug spray as part of the Stellar testing panel. I brought it with me on a Maine deep woods camping trip. It has little-to-no odor and didn't feel sticky when sprayed on. I like that it uses more natural ingredients, but the down side is that it needed to be applied more often than some of the heavy duty chemical but sprays. . . I'll take the trade off, as we try to use safer products and it is worth it to our family. It kept the chiggers, black flies, and mosquitoes at bay. I recommend this and will purchase this in the future for my family as we are avid campers and bug spray is something we use frequently.

A few minutes later I had to check my skin to see if it was still on. It was the thinnest of textures, which felt like a light protective layer, matte to the touch. Second, it was super effective. I used it during the early evening and didn't get even a nibble. Usually the mosquitos swarm me right away. My family also tried it on a camping trip and didn't get any bites all night. My family has also been using it. The sprayer creates more of a mist than a squirt, which seemed to give better coverage to my skin. I like the lack of fragrance and especially that there is no chemical odor! This spray contains 20 percent picardin as an active ingredient. For a chemical based spray, it didn't smell or feel like one. Of course the main benefit is that it actually repels the insects! I wore it in my backyard while gardening--which is usually mosquito heaven--and nothing bit me or even hovered near me. The Grand Tongo repellant worked in the woods as well, when I went hiking. I used the fragrance free version which I thought was great since myself and kids are sensitive to smells. We spent 6 hours outdoors with no bug bites the first time we used the product. The second time we went on a hike near a creek and was able to brave the prehistoric sized mosquitos with no issues. Definitely give this product a try if you live in an area with large populations of mosquitoes. We have had lots of rain this year in my area and it has been great to go outside without worrying about itchy bugs bites.

It goes on easily and doesn't leave a film like a lot of other bug sprays do. I loved that it's scentless because other brands leave a horrible smell that follows you all day until you wash it off. With this one I didn't have that issue. I live in Florida where the humidity and heat are unbearable at times and the mosquitos and bugs are always out. I used this while going on my daily walks outdoors, hiking in the woods and my kids used it while camping outside and it worked great and was very effective at preventing bug bites! In the summer time mosquitos make it almost impossible to be outside in the evening when the weather is nice. This product did not leave any sticky or oily residue on my skin, which felt great! We typically have a ton of mosquitos on our patio area and by our pool, and this product has been great to help keep our family safe and bite free so far this summer. As someone who is sensitive to fragrance, the fragrance free option has been great and is truly fragrance free. It goes on like a typical bug spray, with the spray scent when you apply it, but once it dries, it’s not sticky and there is no lingering smell. I also found that the "cloud" of spray didn't stick around for long. I used it on myself and my 3-year-old, and we were both bite-free for over two hours just hanging out on the porch. Bonus points for the packaging: I love the design and the size of the can. It is super easy to keep by the door and reapply as needed.

I rubbed it in and it quickly absorbed. I spayed some on my hands to apply on my face but I ended up washing my face and hands quickly after applying. While it’s not sticky it felt like a layer of product on my hands and face. I didn’t prefer it there. I didn’t mind my arms, legs, or neck. But I am also more particular with face products. I used the spray at, where I live on 5 acres and have loads of bugs! I definitely noticed a reduction in bug bites when I use the product. I used the fragrance free bug spray. I initially noticed a light scent upon spraying but it went away within 30 seconds or so. I appreciated the fragrance free option as we tend to stay away from fragrant products. The application was pretty easy. I needed to make a few swipes to ensure full coverage. I found it helpful to rub in but it really just absorbed in the spot it was sprayed and did not spread so ensuring good spray coverage was key.
