Q: Is the picture size 8x10 with the mat or without? If without what's the picture size with the mat?

A: Yes, It can hold a 4 x 6 in. photo but it crops some of the image off. The opening in the mat is actually 3 1/2 x 5 7/16 inches. FYI.

Q: could a 7x10 print go in this frame without the mat? or would it look off?

A: Hi sof - Great question. You would be able to fit a 7x10 print in this frame without the mat but you would have about a half inch on either side of the picture. Depending on the print and your taste, this could look just fine. I hope that helps! - Matt

This is a simple looking frame that makes it easy to install and display your artwork. However, the interior dimensions are just shy of 8x10, so my 8x10 print is getting slightly crushed and ruined by being in this frame. It's off by maybe 1/8" in the width, so I had to force my print into the frame. Looks nice on the wall, but not for those who want to display anything precious.

Nice, simple, classic frame. The black frame is not too flashy nor it is dull, just right amount of gloss finish. The photo/artwork looks great in the frame. Easy to set up. This is the second frame that I bought (first one was 11x14 size). I ordered online for store pickup and everything went well. Thanks Target!

I was hoping to use this frame (without the matting) for an 8x10" print I have. It's slightly too small, maybe 1/8", in both length and width. Disappointing the sizing is not more accurate because it was otherwise a great frame and now I have to return it.

It’s a decent, simple frame but it is NOT for 8x10 photos. I bought four to send pictures to grandparents for Christmas and was very annoyed to find out that they’re about 1/16” too short for 8x10” photos. I had already unwrapped and cleaned all the glass, so I went ahead and used them, but all the photos are slightly wrinkled under the glass and it’s quite bothersome.

Note that the mat on this line of frames is a soft white, not a true white as is used on the narrower frames from the same brand. They do not mix and match.

I ordered this online for in-store pick-up and the turn-around time was so fast! I was able to pick it up along with several other frames within 3 hours! This frame is well-made, great for displaying on my bookshelf and looks like a high-end designer frame since the mat is so nice with a great bevel! I will purchase more of this!

Beware if you order these on-line that more times than not there will some damage. Target evidently doesn't train their employees how to pack breakable items correctly. I have purchase dozens of these frames in the past and the good thing about Target is they take care of any problems. The frames that just arrived are made cheaper than the old ones. They now only have 2 clips to keep the backing on and they are both on the same side, so 3 sides have no clips securing the backing. They used to have 3 clips on 3 sides. Not sure if they will hold up - only time will tell.
