Becareful if buykng in store
be careful that if you buy in person, there are a lot of tampered with gift cards. This year in 2025 Black Friday four out of seven cards that I opened before I bought were tampered with. They have whited out the redemption code on the back as well as the serial number on the outer side partially so that you can't report this card and invalidate it nor redeem it yourself. The best way to avoid this is to open the card and scratch off the security feature with a coin before you buy. attached our pictures of what a tampered one looks like.

canceled gift card
the apple gift card is fine but target cancels my order after purchasing the gift card 3 times because of attached promo gift card. I ordered a gift card under a new promo and they canceled it again. there is no limit on the ad. This is very frustrating.
