  • A: In my old place I did just that. One method, you can pre drill a small hole and screw in from the bottom to the top to secure them together, I also used small "L" brackets to secure to wall stud.

Q: So it says the 6 cube storage is 43.8” wide, is that laying it on its side? Or standing up on ends so you have two rows? I have a 29” inch wide space.

    Great budget storage

    Great budget friendly option for playroom storage or homeschool supplies. Purchased two and none had any damage. Took me 15 min to assemble each shelf without any fancy tools. They aren’t going to last years and years with children and the quality, but for the price they will last for what I need them to! Waiting until they went on sale proved to be the best value as I had to purchase multiple.

    Quality/Design Worsened and Damaged

    This is my third time purchasing shelves like this. The first two were great, hence why I decided to get a third when the need arose. However, this one is a different design (short panels are on the outside now, not inside), there is a VERY difficult to remove permanent sticker on the middle of the interior shelf that will show, the center pieces now attach with tiny, preglued (that you have to moisten) green dowels, there is damage to the corners of some of the shelves, and some of the holes were drilled crooked so one side is now slightly off. Also, this is the second one I had to buy because the first one, when I went to pick it up at drive up, had a severely damaged box. Thankfully, the employees were amazing and ran back to get me a new one. I was therefore surprised that the parts inside were STILL damaged even though the box was intact. The quality of the last two I bought were not like this at all and have lasted. I will not be purchasing any more storage or furniture from Target like this again because of the decline and experience and would not recommend it. I don't see this one lasting as long as the previous two.

    I ordered these by accident. I thought I was getting the 11” cube size, but I was pleasantly surprised! They are really heavy duty compared the 11”. They have thicker trim which gives it more of a professional look versus something assembled from a box. They obviously hold more than the 11” and we had a lot more books than I thought so the larger size works better!

    Hardware bag was missing 10 of the 16 pins I needed. This is days after buying another Brightroom shelf that had pieces snapped fresh out of the box. It’s really a coin toss on if you get the required hardware, or have intact pieces.

    Great sturdy shelf easy to build

    This is a great shelf. I have to laugh at the people who say they can’t get that sticker off. Haven’t they ever heard about using a blow dryer? Just heat it for less than a minute and it comes right off.

    Color not accurate.

    Got this in the ”natural” color. As others have said, it is an ASHY tone of so-called “natural” wood. In my photo I put a piece of bamboo (warm-tone) and included our bright white wall as comparison to the (cool toned) ashy shelf color. If the color was accurate to the advertised photo I would’ve given it 5 stars.

    Just a head's up

    This is a pretty solid item. We bought one in the "natural" color back in 2022/2023, and it's held up well for kid toys and books. Since our toy collection has grown over the past couple years, we decided to get another one in the same color. Turns out they've tweaked things a bit since our last purchase, so the "natural" shade is now slightly off from the original. Doesn't bother me, and it could always be painted, but it might be a downside if you're trying to match an existing piece. One more plus: we've been able to scrub crayon off the unit using Scrub Daddy's CIF cleaner without any issue. Not sure how many times that trick will keep working, but it's a nice bonus for now.
