60" Loring 4 Shelf Trestle Bookcase - Threshold™

The bookshelf is a bit pricey for the quality. It serves its purpose. Sturdy pressed shelving and hollow steel.

I bought two of these bookshelves 5 years ago when I moved out after college. I am a fan of mid century modern style and these bookshelves were exactly what I was looking for. They are sturdy and look great, and they were pretty easy to assemble. I did have to exchange one because the metal was bent out of shape to the point it was unusable, and the replacement one you can see a slight bend in the metal where the upper and lower half of the metal side join. But they have lasted and are very sturdy still. I wish the metal sides had all been one piece so you don't see the seams where you put them together, and I wish the shelves were solid wood instead of particle board. But hey, I bought bookshelves that I'd need to assemble at Target, so I guess I get what I pay for. As for bookshelves, they are great for displaying items like photos and decor. I even have my record collection on the second shelf from the top but I honestly would not recommend that since the sides are open. Not really suited for actual books, unless you place them horizontal on the shelves.

I picked up one of these shelves in store, only to find one of the legs was too damaged to assemble. I returned it and ordered one from the online store. This one was not broken, but there were definitely some manufacturing issues. The bottom portions of the legs were made incorrectly (see photos.) The holes for the lower back brace are on the wrong side of the legs, so it can't be installed. The crossbars are also welded to the wrong side, so there is a gap between the metal and the wood shelves. It is technically usable, but I wish I hadn't paid full price.

I went to assemble and found shelf’s already cracked…I’ll be returning if I can get it all back in the box

This is SO sturdy, and was very easy to assemble (even without help)! Came very very well packaged, no flaws. The metal feels sturdy and the wood feels solid. I expected the shelves to feel more like that cheap composite wood, but they are much higher quality than I expected.

I bought this shelf last year in grey and absolutely looved it! My uncle loved it so much that he wanted me to get him one too. I got him 2 walnut ones and super easy to put together. It’s also not as heavy or in a large box so we were easily able to take it to his second floor apartment (I don’t lift weights at all and 5’3”). I’d highly recommend this!

The trestle bookcase looks good and fits my need. It appears to be of good quality and I am happy with my purchase. I wish it had one more top shelf because it appears that that space could be utilized.

Love this shelf so much! Was looking for the perfect piece for my bathroom and this is it, holding all my towels and really sprucing up the space. Great deal and doesn’t look like cheap wood.

Easy to assemble, looks lovely, and was delivered in a snap. I use this as open clothing storage with the Brightroom roped baskets and they work perfectly!
