The rim isn't gold
The gold rim on the plates is much duller in person (unlike what the photos show). Because of this, I exchanged them for new ones thinking the first set might’ve been defective, but the second set looked exactly the same. But besides the gold rim not actually being gold, they’re great quality plates, and I appreciate how Target handled the return/exchange.

Gorgeous Small Plates
Beautiful set of small plates that I will use in a gift basket of holiday baking items. The theme will be dessert, but the plates are perfect for salads or snacks. I am thrilled with the quality - very elegant black matte finish plates with a gold rim.
