Help me.
I want to cry. I have been trying to set this up for 2 hours. My roommates now hate me for being loud and my boyfriend is just laughing at me because I’m getting so frustrated I’m screaming. It’s 11pm and all I want to do is shower but the thing won’t turn to loosen it to get the right size. I am going crazy. I am typically a handy person. This is beyond me.

Not able to install with 2 adults
Target stocks 2 versions of a similar rod. Bought both and could not install either with the tension mounting. 2 adults trying to push and it never held tension. Ended up making 3 trips to target that night. Landed on a straight rod for the time being and will ask a man to try and install the curved version. DO NOT RECOMMEND this product

Awful drywal anchirs and worse instructions
The drywall anchors it came with are worthless and the screws stripped them and the anchors pulled right out of the wall. You’ll need to buy decent ones if no stud The instructions were horrendous and I had to create my own instructions to install it since the instructions provided are insane and result in a asymmetric mount since there is no measuring or marking involved.

Save Your Sanity!!!!
Id rather chew on decking nails than EVER have to deal with one of these again. Such an extremely poor design with the brackets. I couldn’t tell you if the tension works or not because I didn’t get that far. Decided maybe to try the permanent solution, nope, awful!!! The rating doesn’t lie folks. Target will be getting their trash back today! I’m kind of shocked this is even a Target item. Thought they’d be better than this.

This is my second time purchasing this curved rod. The first time I couldn't get the tension rod to work so I opted to drill it. Now I realize, or either they added, that the instructions advise for two people for the tension rod method. They are right. Follow the steps and directions exactly and it is an easy install.

I’ve had this for 6 miners and it’s fallen 5 times. It has terrible tension definitely need a 2nd person. After the last fall the tension drift work at all.

Love that there was a tension option. My wall couldn’t take dry wall anchors when I had bought a different curved rod. The installation was pretty easy once we understood the directions, the instructions definitely need a bit of tweaking. You truly need two people to install this. It looks great hanging the shower curtain and now I have more room inside the shower. Love that I don’t have to worry about it possibly falling off the wall, the tension ability is very secure.

Do NOT get if you're tension mounting it on tile.
This was difficult to put up and ABSOLUTELY requires two people. I have tile all the way up to my ceiling, so It took me over an hour to do by myself bc it kept sliding out of place whenever I tried to hold it in place to tighten. One person must heavily apply pressure to the left side while the other person does so on the opposite end, while simultaneously tightening the small screw. The final tension twist isn’t strong enough to keep it in place & it has fallen down countless times, at random. I’ve had two other strong men help me hang it between falls & it still won’t stay. It fell on my dog (only a shower liner is on it, which is on the inside, so it’s not like he even touched anything to cause it) and today it fell, shattering a mirror. I imagine that if it were mounted to actual drywall/braced by the top lip of the shower it might stay, but it slips terribly on tile!!

Renters - you may lose your deposit
Will destroy your walls. We had this up for 1 year and when we moved it took off paint AND drywall. Great way to lose your deposit if you are renting.

Change out Screws
I would highly suggest taking the screws that come in the rod out and replacing with the extra screws that come in the bag. The screws that came in the rod were manufactured incorrectly it appeared. After an hour of so of trying, we made it work!

On its way to the dumpster
Don’t buy this if you aren’t smart. The box implies the tension mount instructions are self explanatory but if you put a bracket together backwards you can’t take it back apart. It’s overpackaged with dozens of zipties so I destroyed the packaging won’t be getting a refund. This is a depressing product.
