A: Actually the bowl holds 3 quarts or 96 oz of water. The measurements above are correct but the 23 oz description is not. At 15" long this bowl is VERY large.

I ordered this online based on the 23 oz. description. I measured the capacity and filled it w/ 3 quarts of water or 96 oz. The bowl is also much heavier than I wanted. So depending on what you are after, it could be just the bowl for you, as stated by many of the reviews. If you bought it in store you would know what size your were getting. Otherwise the bowl seems to be a very nice quality. At half price it's a great value for those who want the large size.

Large serving bowl holds quite a bit. I bought it as a housewarming gift for my niece and she's very happy with it. The design is cool and it holds more than you would think because it's so deep although a bit on the heavy side for me. At $25 it's not exactly cheap, but she likes it and that's all that counts. If it were for me, I would prefer something not quite so heavy for every day use.
