Description

About the Book

An ex-military scientist and his wife fight to survive a post-apocalyptic world where inter-dimensional forces stop at nothing to prevent him from stopping the apocalypse that has already occurred. An epic tale of survival, mayan culture and time travel all wrapped up into one science fiction adventure.

Book Synopsis

100 years ago, they vanished. No one knew why, no one knew how -- no one knew anything. The scientists were stunned, hell the world was stunned, and as for myself, I knew it was a moment that would haunt our history.

My name is Betty Anders, a small-town teacher with an intrepid husband. David and I lived our peaceful, uneventful lives in Nebraska: I taught, while he pursued his research in biogenetic engineering. His breakthrough discovery -- quantum entangled botany -- gave us hope for a brighter, more sustainable future... which turned to utter fear when the government took it too far. Of course they did.

Our remaining peace evaporated when the missiles started falling, fired by cruelly-intentioned leaders of the Alliance. I know what you're thinking... WHAT freaking missiles? But bear with me, there's a lot to cover, and not a lot of time. Soon we found ourselves confined to David's bunker, frantically searching for any information. Who was left? How had the fallout altered the landscape? I couldn't help my mind go to the simple prevailing truth that my husband's scientific break- through is now the most important piece of knowledge on the planet.

As we brace ourselves to leave the bunker, I wonder, above all, if these events are somehow linked to the great mystery of what happened with the Native Americans those 100 years ago.

While David and I find our place in this post-apocalyptic world, we need your help in summoning the courage to push forward as I have a feeling that the lines of history are all converging on this moment in time

A writer, editor, and project manager, Robert Greenberger has been working in publishing since 1980. A lifelong fan of comics and science fiction, he watched dreams become reality when he first joined Starlog Press in 1980. There, he created Comics Scene which he edited during its initial run. In 1984, he moved to DC Comics where he worked as an editor or administrator until 2000, earning plaudits for his work on the Star Trek comic book. After a brief sojourn to the Internet, he returned to comics in 2001, this time working as an executive at Marvel Comics. This turned out to be a stormy, frustrating year and in 2002 he returned to DC as a senior editor in their growing collected editions department. In 2006, he left DC and found himself having the time of his life as Managing Editor at Weekly World News until its clueless management shuttered the paper. Since then he has been a freelance writer, working on media tie-in properties, original fiction, non-fiction for your young adults and adults, and whatever else has come his way. He has cofounded the digital Crazy 8 Press. He currently teaches, writes, and edits. He makes his home in Maryland. For more, check out his website: www.bobgreenberger.com.
