Book Synopsis
Across Time and Space is a journey through all televised Doctor Who episodes.
It began as a blog. Doctor Who fan Tony Cross made the decision to watch all the Doctor Who series in order, and to make a record of his findings online. He found each era had a rhythm, that there was a difference in the style and pace of 60s TV compared to 70s TV. Episodes he thought he didn't like, he enjoyed immensely. Stories that were well-loved he sometimes struggled with. Above all he found there was always something you could be entertained by - even if the plot made no sense.
Across Time and Space is the amalgamation of Tony's blog posts, forming a unofficial companion to Doctor Who, breaking down the series episode by episode and encouraging others to take up the journey themselves.
About the Author
Tony Cross was born between episodes 3 and 4 of Terror of the Autons. He first started watching Doctor Who with his mum and dad at the age of four or five. When things got too scary he would pretend to need the toilet then peek at the television through the crack in the door. Graduating with a degree in History (with Geography) he went on to a career in new business development. He now writes reviews of books, films and other cultural stuff for The DreamCage and AlbieMedia, which alongside Doctor Who, have helped keep him off the streets. He lives in London, UK.
