The sound quality is top notch too, which is a huge bonus for me since I love to blast my music while cooking with messy hands. Plus, I can connect it to other Echo devices for a surround sound experience. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend the Echo to anyone who wants a smart speaker that does it all.

I have a lot of items at homes that works well with my echo dot, such as all my lights, fans and television. I love how it makes ur day so much easier and programming it is super easy as well. It alarms to wake me up then tells me little bits of the news and most importantly the weather. Then also gives me traffic advise closure to when I have to leave. The voice quality and speaker quality is definitely an upgrade from the last one I have. Highly highly recommend this instead of others. You will not regret it.

We have had another smart device shaped more like a hockey puck, but I prefer this round ball design. It lights up with different colors based on a notification. We say “play my notifications, and it lets us know if a package is on the way or if a refund has been issued, for example. It plays the music when we ask, and can make announcements to other devices around the house. We use this multiple times per day to just ask a simple question or make a conversion or do math for us. We get frustrated with her lack of understanding our voice or commands at times, but I think that’s pretty normal. We will continue to use it daily!

The responses from the google home are more adult like and my child struggles with comprehending it. I tried the echo dot and absolutely ! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When you need a alarm to wake up in the morning all you have to do is ask Alexa to wake u up at a time and it will start a soft progressive Chime amd get louder until you say Alexa Stop. If you like music and games you can also set up in the Alexa app to the skills (there's over 1000 to choose from). You can also set up a announcement and it will announce any message you have. If you have a ring doorbell connected to your Alexa app it will alert you that someone is at the door. If you want to know the time and date and weather you can ask Alexa those. There's plenty more that Alexa can do... the possibilities are endless.

It only took a couple minutes to get it completely set up on my account and linked to the internet. I homeschool my daughters and we are learning Spanish together. We love being able to ask Alexa how to say words in Spanish that we want to learn. It’s also great for playing my music hands free while I am cooking or doing dishes. This has definitely made things easier for me throughout the day being able to quickly ask questions instead of having to get on my phone to look them up.
