Q: Can I make phone calls with the Echo Dot?
A: Hello DadeCounty305, Thank you for your question. The Echo Dot features "Alexa-to-Alexa" calling. As long as the person you are trying to call is set up to receive calls through an Echo device or the Alexa app, you will see options for making an audio or video call to them. When you place a call, it is sent to the Echo device owned by the person you are calling and is also routed to the Alexa app on their phone, allowing them to choose how they want to answer. Hopefully this helps. Have a wonderful day!

Q: as along as we have verizon wi-fy is this easy to activate ?
A: Hi ron b! The Echo Dot is super easy to set up as long as you've got WiFi (Verizon will work just fine!), power, and a smart device like a phone or tablet to download the free Alexa app. You'll use the Alexa app to sign into your Amazon account, or set one up for free if you don't have one, and then the Alexa app will walk you through the rest of the setup process. I hope that helps, have a great rest of your day!
