Aquaphor Healing Ointment protects the skin to enhance the natural healing process and help prevent external irritants from reaching the wound. The sting-free formula is soothing to skin and helps restore the skin barrier. Whether it's a minor burn from cooking, ironing or styling, chafed skin from your new running shoes or a small cut from your busy life, Aquaphor Healing Ointment will help soothe the skin and restore the skin barrier. It works by creating a protective barrier on the skin that allows flow of excess fluid and oxygen. It is suitable for the whole family and can even be used on babies. Keep this tube in your medicine cabinet for all those little emergencies like minor cuts, scrapes and burns. To use: Apply to the affected area as needed. For best results gently clean any wounds before applying Aquaphor. Aquaphor Ointment is a white translucent to light yellow ointment. Color variations occur due to the nature of the ingredients in the product. Each of the ingredients in Aquaphor are tested and approved for their quality and safety. I’ve had a wound on the top of my foot for the last 2 1/2 years at least. I went to the gym over and over and over again without socks and my shoes rubbed this area raw and it just would not heal. And it would itch. I came across this ointment and my goodness, it’s the only thing that has made this wound to start healing. I’m so happy!!
Amazing stuff….

Had no idea how good this ointment would be for my dry cracked hands until trying it. It’s amazing! Healed them overnight and will continue to use. Far exceeds other lotions and ointments I have tried. Would easily purchase again.

This was recommended to me by my tattoo artist for aftercare. It works great; I have yet to have any scabbing or dryness. The consistency is like Vaseline, so I don’t know if I would use it elsewhere. However, our pediatrician recommends it for eczema.

I don't know if this Aquaphor labeled "Soothes minor wounds, cuts, scrapes + burns" is actually any different than the "Ointment for Dry, Cracked or Irritated Skin." I have a big tube of the latter, but I had a half used 1.75oz. tube of the former, and I recently did a face plant on a concrete sidewalk during 40 degree weather, blustery winds and driving sideways rain. I was running to get out of that weather and lost control, flew into the air, my Contigo coffee mug disappeared into thin air, and I came down on my FACE, and slid along the concrete. Destroyed my eyeglasses, took three layers of nose off, injured my upper lip, chin and forehead, and came up bleeding. I didn't treat it right away (ah, was in shock), but after about 36 hours I went to Google and all the dermatologists advise treating injuries like I suffered with petroleum jelly. By the time I started using my Aquaphor, soft scabs were forming. The Aquaphor dissolved them, and even got rid of a deep embedded scab on my outer right knuckle which also was damaged during this same fall. I looked online for more of the "Soothes minor wounds, cuts, scrapes + burns" version, and finally found it on Target. All these photos are no makeup. Just mascara. No foundation or concealer. In the white/gray strip top, that's today, about 8 days of Aquaphor. The middle photo is right after the fall. The last photo, well, that's almost two days after the fall, when I went to Google in desperation. How can I fix my face??? I will never be without this version of Aquaphor ever again.

Dermatologist recommended this and I can't argue with this choice as I've been dealing with lifelong dry skin, eczema conditions. Ointments are best option, so putting up with the messiness is not a deal breaker. It is so far ameliorating a constant, annoying condition.

I have a problem with dried, chapped hands every time the weather gets cold. I've tried different products, but nothing comes close to this. I'm thrilled I finally found something that works.

Love Aquaphor! This ointment is good for almost all of my skin irritants. I also have Angular Chelitis, those little cracks at the corner of your mouth. It doesn't cure them, but it keeps them from cracking more often. I also use this on my Psoriasis, helps a bit.

This product reminds me a lot of petroleum jelly, both in appearance and texture. It claims that it is "advanced therapy for dry, cracker or irritated skin." In my experience, it works very well for those purposes. My skin dries out terribly in the winter. I like using this around my fingernails to help keep that area moist. I also like using this for red, irritated skin, which can happen because of the weather or just from friction. It is very helpful for that. It helps relieve the pain associated with red, irritated skin and also helps it begin to heal. I would recommend this and keep some on hand myself.

We've been using Aquaphor for years for our chapped lips. It works wonders and doesn't leave you addicted to it like any other chapstick! It's the best.
