A: The Aquaphor Itch Relief Ointment is clinically proven to help provide instant itch relief for outdoor irritations like insect bites, poison ivy, poison oak, and sumac. It helps soothe and relieve itchiness from indoor causes like dry skin, skin rash, and psoriasis. It is not intended for deep or puncture wounds, including open surgical scars, animal bites or serious burns. Aquaphor Itch Relief Ointment can be used around the lips, but has not tested for use on the lips.

Works beautifully!
We love regular aquaphor ointment in out house so when the pediatrician recommended a hydrocortisone ointment or creme for our daughter's eczema, it was a no brainer. She has a rash with dry skin on her side and arm, this ointment helped clear it within a few days! It also has fewer added ingredients compared to other hydrocortisones I checked. With concern over allergies to cremes, the fewer added ingredients was what made our final decision.

This stuff is amazing! I wish it came in a bigger tube or tub but it worked great for a stubborn rash on our 13 month old. I didn’t even know this existed until our pediatrician recommended it and it worked quick once we started using it. I have also used it myself and it’s just as amazing. Clean, effective, and calming
As someone that has endless reactions from bugs to internal issues, this product works very well! I would rather use non-steroidal options but I had to break my rule fairly recently. Many, many products are not as clean and simple as this product; I always buy clean products. Eczema and topical issues calm in under 5 minutes; eczema ppl know how hard it can be to feel calm. Please keep this clean product around! Clean is very important to your health. Plus, there is actually a natural-based product inside to help absorb into the skin. I may not buy as frequently bc I try to not use steroid-based products as much but I do keep this product around. As a gluten allergy sufferer, oatmeal is a no-can-do. I recommend!!

“Aquaphor itch relief ointment” works! My child has eczema & her face has been flaky lately. All of her prescribed ointments/creams don’t work for her anymore. So I got this ointment & I put a little bit on her face with a qtip (so it wouldn’t get in her eyes) & the next morning her skin was perfect! I don’t write reviews but I just felt like I had to share.

Love the ointment over a cream
This has the texture of aquafor which I really like compared to typical hydrocortisone creams that never seem to want to soak in and leave a white film. I’ve been using this on bug bites in my kids and it’s so much easier to put on and absorb! Love it!
