Q: Can you use this cream for psoriasis of the fingernail? If so, how long after you can start seeing signs of healing? In my case it does not itch, just that the nail is beginning to lift.

This product is for temporary relief of itching associated with minor skin irritations and rashes due to eczema, insect bites, poison ivy, poison oak, or poison sumac, soaps, detergents, cosmetics, jewelry, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis. There is no information on healing of psoriasis of the fingernail using Anti-itch 1% Hydrocortisone. I hope this information helps. – Keacia

Q: Is this Hydrocortisone ACETATE or Hydrocortisone VALERATE (stronger potency)? It does NOT SAY on the tube. I'm hoping it's the weaker version, as I'm using it on the baby (with Ped approval).

It works. But be careful. This is a type of steroid and your symptoms will come back once you stop. I was having very bad eczema and bought this as a last resort. By the 3rd day, the rash and itch went down significantly. But I was worried about withdrawal and I stopped on the 4-5 th day and the redness came back. Be careful and consult a medial professional.

I’ve used a lot of steroid creams in my lifetime. This is the first one I remember that did absolutely nothing for my rash. I’ve tried it on different reactions & different body parts & every time, there’s nothing to it. It’s cream but I seriously doubt the concentration of the medication is similar to other brands. I’ve been trying it for 2 months & tonight, on my 3rd hour of itching, I figure the least I can do is warn others in case you’re also resistant to whatever its effects were intended to have been as a maximum strength anti itch product. The only hint of relief I got was after 3 separate applications, 2-3 mins apart. I’ve never had to do that with any other cream whether brand name, drugstore brand, rx. I’ll give an extra star because the carrier cream isn’t bad. There’s no smell & it’s thick but not sticky.
