Q: What is the shortest possible height that the headboard can be when attached to the bed? I am looking for one that can be adjusted to 40” from floor to top of headboard for a king bed.

A: This headboard has 4 post points. The distance from the floor to the top of the HB for each post point is as follows: 1. 56.30 in; 2. 53.94 in; 3. 51.38 in; 48.82 in. So, it is quite a bit taller than 40 inches at its lowest point.

Smells at first. Be prepared.
The off gassing that happens after unwrapping made it necessary to wait for it to be installed in my bedroom. I’m very sensitive to these gas smells. After 4-5 days it was great. The mounts are flexible to work with many beds and that was nice and easy.

Gorgeous headboard
This headboard is absolutely beautiful in person. The color is light gray with tan specks. The silver thumbnails make the headboard look very chic. Surprisingly, it is easy to attach the poles to the headboard. It is also easy to attach it to the headboard but it is best to have another person hold the headboard while the screws are put in. The headboard was made in high quality. I definitely recommend this headboard if you like chic at a reasonable price.

No hardware = no use
The headboard was supposed to include hardware for installation, it even states that on the delivery box. We received the headboard but no hardware was included. Contacted target who said they can't help us and to contact the manufacturer to resolve this issue. Left multiple messages for the manufacturer, all of which have gone unanswered. So now we have a king size headboard that's been removed from the box and nothing to do with it. Complete waste of money, and do not recommend purchasing anything from Baxton Studio.

great value, but hard to assemble
i got this headboard for a really good sale price and the overall quality of the headboard is great. however, it came with a couple of tiny stains and it's such a pain to have it replaced so i opted to keep it. The good thing is it fits a full size bedframe perfectly, but it is difficult to make it stable. i had to assemble it twice to make it sturdy and while it's more stable, it is still wobbly. i initially wanted a headboard so i can have my bed by the window, but because the headboard was so wobbly i have to put it against the wall instead to keep it stable. For the price, i guess i get what i paid for, but i'm not sure how long the headboard will last without the legs breaking.

The quality of the headboard was great, awesome purchase for sure. My only disappointment was that “dark grey” is more of a dark blue denim grey instead of being a plain dark grey. We got a good deal as well from Target and had it shipped to our house for free! Loved that.
