Really good for studio mixing

I have used these headphones for about 3 years now and they have served me greatly, the quality and design makes it easy to use and useful to hear specific ranges. The only issue i had with it is after heavy use after 3 years there has become a slight rattling in the right ear when listening to low frequencies. Could be because I like to push audio to its limits and i damaged the speaker. Overall, it is a very good pair of headphones and i recommend anyone who have a low budget.

I like the product. But dont forget check out the outlet!

I would love a product with a similar price but wireless. The closest model ATH-M20xBT, is M20... not as much quality. But overall these are one best price value products I could find on the market

Durable and high-quality

These headphones have been nothing but excellent for me. I've been using them daily for around 6-7 years, and they still sound just as good as they did on day one. I needed to replace the earmuffs after around four years, but otherwise they've held up very well.

Second pair died on me

Nice headphones, but not very durable. A second pair died on me, the same problem as the first: one of the ear pads just goes dead (no sound). No frayed wire or anything, it just stopped working. I thought the first one was a fluke, but that was not the case. Sorry, I can't recommend them.

Great studio headphones

I use these headphones monitoring my podcast recording, editing it, and Zoom calls. I also use them for listening to podcasts when I'm near my podcast setup so I can enjoy the audio quality because I can't buy the Audio-Technica Bluetooth headphones. They have great audio quality, especially for the price. The cable is really long, so you need to wrap it up, but it allows me to walk across my room to close my blinds or get something without taking them off, which is quite helpful when I'm in a Zoom meeting. Great headphones that I'd definitely suggest.

Best headphone I ever Have under $200!

Balance and superb sound quality, the only downside is that the plastic parts looks so fragile.

I was looking for quality at a reasonable price.

I've never spent this kind of money on a headphone set before.....never saw the sense in it. Boy was I wrong, from the very first use it was clear just what I wasn't getting with my inexpensive headphones. It's like night and day, everything is so clear, you hear everything, I know that sounds a little insane, but I swear I'm hearing things in music that I just wasn't getting before.

100% Recommend. Make ATH-M50xBL replacement pads!

I bought a pair of the limited edition ATH-M50xBL in 2015. I have mangled, and beaten them more than they deserve. Yet they still work like a champ. Can't see how anyone can complain about build quality. I've dropped these things more than Linus drops components and every time I pick them back up they are perfect. The single one and only complaint that I could make is that I have a limited edition and the material on the padding has worn off and I can't get them replaced in the same color. They've been used pretty much daily for 8 years and still going strong.

Overly Fragile

The outer layer over the fabric flakes off QUICK. And they're cheaply constructed at the foldable joints which holds it snug against your ear. For something so expensive, you want it to last. The audio sounds great and I never had any trouble with the sound. They're comfortable enough to sleep with, especially on a plane, but at the risk of snapping those joints.

Great sound, but poor headband quality.

I've loved these headphones but just a little over a year the band disintegrated and started showering me with dust and flakes from the super thin band. The headband needs some serious focus. These are supposed to be premium headphones.

These headphones have lasted me a long time, very underrated

I have had this model of headphones for a long time and they work great still. Some cracks on the leather part around my ear but minor. These are so good my brother even bought the same model too after trying mine out.

Great, reliable and comfortable headphones!

I've owned these headphones for about 4 years now and I couldn't be happier about my initial purchase! Great value for a great set of headphones that will never let you down. The long cord can be a minor annoyance when you're on the go, but that's not really the purpose of these headphones. I use them for my desktop at home for everything and apart for the leather earpads having started to crack (which is understandable after the amount of use) I have never had any issues with them whatsoever. I initially wanted the M50x, but was low on cash at the time and bought the M30x instead. Great purchase if you're looking for solid headphones with decent quality, durability and comfort at a lower price.

I love these headphones

I use these headphones mostly for listening to music and gaming, though they're very useful for when I dabble in music production. I've had these headphones for about 4 months now. My only complaints are that the 'ear holes' were a bit smaller than on the headphones I was using before, and that the leather around where my ears go has started to dry out and get stiff. Next time, I'll go with something that uses cloth instead of leather (but I'll definitely try to keep buying from AT.) 9/10 would buy again

Its suits for everything!!!

I think this product is made for studio, but in last week I have used for games and the audio make me listen the other people starting another game, I think is surround, because I can listen behind me, front me, by my side... EVERYWERE, so if you are going to buy an headphone to listen music, studio, game I recommend!

To tight and way ugly.

So I receive these headphones in the mail after reading they are the best budget headphones available. I wait a while then open them to find the front of the instructions written in Chinese, this is the first time i have ever seen the front page of instructions in Chinese with a little English on the inside. My thoughts of having the best US headphones were soon dampened by the thoughts of some 13 year old Chinese kid sitting in a internet booth wearing them. But upon further investigation it turns out they were made in Taiwan who are not exactly friends with China. Putting the place of origin aside I move on to the overall design that i didn't really like the look of before i bought them only to discover they are just as ugly. It looks like they were designed by a geeky scientist not a musician or a trendsetter. And the name, we all know everything sounds better with an "a" on the end from pasta to coke a cola, but Audiotechnica just sounds like a name of some cheap batteries or junk from the $3 shop trying to sound classy. As for the fit they are way to tight this is demonstrated by the way they twist into a pretzel when not in use. They are way to tight even with nothing in between them with the plastic ends flopping around all over the place. The cord is longish but not long enough to sit on the couch while watching tv. The sound is important but probably not as important as the looks if you are a DJ and I'm sure these geeky looking things wont be a hit with the ladies. I would hate to DJ wearing these as you cant just put them on with one hand and the flipping end is pointless as you just have hard plastic against your ear. Did anyone even consider that when making these overpriced Micky mouse ears oh and don't forget the exposed wires to get your fingers all caught up in. They are like suction cups on the ears no wonder there is no sound escaping they are so tight. So why say they are good, it's like trying to pretend you like your bad Christmas presents.

From Grado to Audio-Technica

Do NOT waste your money on Beats....you can spend less that $100 and put Headies over your ears an listen to music the way is should sound..If you want to bass compress the eardrum until it hurts...then spend $400....I have been listening to music through headphones since I was a teenager....outside of Grado'....I have waste so much time buying returning headphones...I gave up Then I found Audio-Technica. As an amatrue musician, I never paid much attention to the sound 'guy'...until 4 yrs ago, when I was asked if I may be interested in learning the soundboard at out Church...I jumped at the chance. Fours yrs on...I've become the worship groups sound engineer. running a Allen & Heath 3300...what i have learned .... Soundman needs head phones, and they need quality headphone. weather you're in the sound engineering field or just love being as close to the music as you can.... A-T Headphones have impressed . since i've received M30x. The past few days I put these headies to the test....music; from Classical to indie / Math music....even listened to a podcast..... AWESOME. I know a day will come when I upgrade....as for now...if your and audiofile.... unless you're just a Brand Wh**e...by beats....if you want a true music experience.....buy Audio-Technica
