Rebranded mix - no taste.
For decades this pancake mix was known as "Aunt Jemima" pancake mix. Simple. Delicious. A go to staple for our Sunday mornings. When rebranded to Pearl Milling CO - while this mix is still simple. It has no taste. I knew something was up when I mixed my first batch. The mix looked pale. I thought, "Bet these pancakes will have no taste." Sure enough! The results of this rebranded mix - highly disappointing. No taste. Flat - almost crepe-like pancakes. Sad to see another once-standard staple ruined. Don't buy. Try another mix.

Not packaged in a hygienic way
The mix is not in a bag and is just poured into the box directly. It would be easy for pests to get into or for high humidity to affect it. This is unacceptable. I won't be buying this again.

Pancake mix
I use this mix to make waffles. I add vanilla and a little sugar and they turn out delicious!!! I’m not thrilled with the fact that there’s no bag in the box but I place it in my own bag once I get home and store it in the fridge. Doesn’t get any easier than this too make pancakes or waffles:)

Gummy pancakes??
I was really looking forward to trying this pancake mix. I love pancakes! I love how fluffy they came out and the taste is decent but it's outweighed by the negatives. When I opened the box I was very surprised to see that the mix is put directly into the box, not into a sealed plastic bag. The pancakes also came out kind of gummy in texture. Very strange. I won't be buying this again.
