Q: Best pancake mix ever...My question is, can I use 1/2 cup buttermilk & 1/2 cup regular milk? I love buttermilk waffles but using a whole cup of buttermilk was a bit too strong...
A: We haven't tested a recipe with half buttermilk and half regular milk for our pancakes, so we can't guarantee the results. However, we don't think that you'd have any problem doing this. We always encourage experimenting in the kitchen and hope that this adjustment makes the pancakes perfect for you!

Q: Can I make dumplings with this like I can with Bisquick?
A: Since this is a Pancake & Waffle Mix and not an All-Purpose Baking Mix, we can't guarantee that this would work to make biscuits.

Q: What can I substitute for egg and milk to accommodate allergies?
A: Although we haven't tested this ourselves in our kitchens, you can substitute dairy milk with things like like soy milk, almond milk, or other non-dairy milks. Eggs are a bit more tricky to substitute, but here are some options: 1. Applesauce: Use applesauce to add moisture. Replace one egg with 1/4 cup of applesauce in sweet desserts. 2. Bananas: Use bananas to add moisture. One mashed banana can replace one egg in cakes and sweet breads. 3. Flaxseeds: Use flaxseeds for binding. Combine 1 tablespoonful of ground flaxseeds with 3 tablespoonfuls of water to make a thick and gelatinous egg replacement. 4. Instant mashed potatoes: Use instant mashed potatoes for binding. Use 2 tablespoonfuls of instant mashed potatoes to replace one egg in recipes that are meant to be dense. 5. Diet soda: Use diet soda as a leavening agent. One can of diet soda can be used to replace two eggs in many cake recipes. Since these haven't been tested we can't make any guarantees, so you may want to search to see if there are other people online who have tested these replacements with pancake mix before trying it yourself.
