Probably one of the worst dry shampoos I’ve ever used. Left so much white residue and left my scalp dry and made my hair felt stiff.

We're sorry to hear that you experienced residue after using Aussie Instant Volume Dry Shampoo. This isn't something we would expect, especially after the extensive quality checks we have in place for our products. With that said, we know that it's possible when too much product is used or if the shampoo isn't best suited for your hair type. Our team would be happy to look into this further so we can help make this right. When you have the chance, please give us a call at 800-947-2656 for further assistance.

Absorbs oil with no white residue
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fresh hair in seconds! It instantly absorbs oil with no white residue leaving your hair looking clean refreshed and full of volume. And it smells really amazing with a mint and waterlily fragrance.

Not for me
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not making content for this product because while I love other Aussie products this product did not work well for me. I tried it multiple times and each time it left white flakes all over my hair which was very noticeable because I have dark brown hair. This may work better for someone who is blonde.

Immediate no for me
Immediate no for me. Left large white cast on my dark hair and I tried to give it a chance and massage it in to blend it out. That didn’t work much. Tbh left my hair looking dirtier and flaky, looks like dandruff. I tried both spraying it from a distance and close-up, result was the same. Glad I tested this out on wash day, would’ve been very upset to ruin a whole hairstyle.

Leaves white residue
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a love hate relationship with this product for starters I liked that it smells so good it also does the job with my oily hair on days I don’t wash my hair, but it does leave off white residue which is why I give it three stars, but you can just use a brush to get it to come off. It’s just unfortunate because I may not know if it’s white on the back of my head when I use it.

Waste of money. There is oil in this and it immediately shows. As soon as I spray it on, my scalp looks like an oil slick. The scent is nice and clean but unfortunately, it worsens oily hair.

We’re sorry to hear Aussie Dry Shampoo Instant Volume left your scalp looking even oilier, especially when you were hoping for a fresh, volumized look. While we’re glad you enjoyed the clean scent, we understand the product didn’t work as expected for your hair. Our products offer different moisture levels, so this formula may simply be more moisturizing than your hair needs. You could try using less product and applying it sparingly to the roots. It may also help to use a clarifying shampoo occasionally to remove buildup, rinse thoroughly, and keep conditioner to your mid-lengths and ends rather than your scalp. We’d love to learn more about your experience and help find a formula that’s a better fit. Please call us at (800) 947-2656 when you have a moment.

Adds volume and absorbs oils
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great dry shampoo, doesn’t feel sticky or flaky, absorbs oils and adds volume. I’ve been using it for a while now and the bottle does last for a long time (and I use it generously). It doesn’t hold the volume for too long but I just refresh it when needed

Great for in a pinch
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dry shampoo doesn’t leave my hair feeling fresh or soft, but it does improve the overall appearance I believe. After having my hair in a bun for 2 days straight, I thought it would be an excellent time to put this dry shampoo to the test. This took my oily, flat hair and powdered a little life into it. My hair is still a little stiff but not to the point it’s sticking together like unstirred spaghetti noodles. I think dry shampoo is an excellent product to have in the case of last minute plans and emergencies, but it isn’t something I would rely on for a good hair day, voluminous or not

Great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product works pretty well. If you use too much then it does leave white residue that’s hard to get all the way blended into your hair. Otherwise, smells great and works well.

Not for me
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using this dry shampoo for a while now I have concluded that it isn’t the best that I have ever tried. I am a hair wash day hater so I am constantly using dry shampoo. I think it does a okay job but I have found that I need to use a lot of product for it to work well. I like the smell and the packaging. I have also noticed that it leaves white residue on my hair. Maybe I’m just not blending it in enough but I shake my hair and brush it in and still see white.

Pretty standard
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Application of product was pretty standard. I didn’t see a major build up like with other dry shampoos i have used. The texture of the product itself seems thinner to others in comparison. The effectiveness was pretty much the same as any other I’ve used but that’s probably user error.

Hard to blend
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I mean, it works to cover up oily hair. But it feels super dense to me and turns literally everything white. I had to go wash my hands to get it off. It was very hard to blend the white into my dark hair.

Aussie Good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the shade of purple that they used for the packaging. When you spray the product it kind of smells like a minty watermelon. It gives my hair a lot of volume.

A good smelling product that removes oil but leave
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do think the product helped remove oiliness from my hair and left a nice shine. I enjoyed the smell of this produce as well. However, my hair did feel a little chalky after applying. I have dark brown hair and there was a white residue despite shaking the product and spraying at an appropriate distance. The residue was very hard to remove as well and get it to absorb in my hair.
