Terrible formula & uneven coverage
This formula is terrible. The foam evaporates as soon and you try to work it. Leaves you with super concentrated patchy and crunchy stands in some parts of your hair and other parts with NO product. It’s impossible to work this product evenly into your hair

DONT BE FOOLED, AUSSIE IS PLAYING US!
Aussie is taking out the ingredients that we have loved in these peoducts. All rhe companies change their products and make me with cheaper ingredients, hoping we won't notice. WE NEED TO TAKE A STAND and stop buying their new products. The old version was so much better. New packaging took out the hydantion which is bad, but also took out all the good stuff. SHAME ON YOU AUSSIE!

Terrible! I would put the foam in my palm and then try to share it with my other hand so I could evenly distribute it and it would just instantly dissolve. I’ve never seen mousse do that.

The worst I've ever used!!
I can’t believe this formula was approved. As many people are saying, it “deflates” almost immediately after dispensing it, so you are left to smear a strange, sticky liquid through your hair. It did not add volume, but instead added a crunchy shellac like a hair gel would. Worst of all, when it dries, it leaves a flaky white dust that is impossible to brush out and looks exactly like dandruff. Absolutely horrible! Will be returning.

New version is terrible!
I loved the original version of the head strong mousse. This new version, no matter how long you shake it, as soon as you dispense it, it doesn't stay it dissipates in your hand before ever reaching your head! Very disappointing as I have been using aussie for years. But it seems your new and improved is anything but. I thought maybe I got a bad bottle so I bought another one and the same thing happened. Please go back to the way it was!

Pops like a bubble?
Like some other people mentioned already, I don't really know if this can qualify as a mousse. It comes out of the can like a mousse, but within a second or two the foam seems to pop and just become a liquid. I can't really comment on the volumizing or holding power of it since I couldn't actually apply it to my hair, but either the can or the formula needs to be fixed in order for it to actually foam out of the can properly.

Causing Damage to My Hair
I have used 2 cans of this product - the one that turns to water almost before it can be applied to hair. I swim 3 times a week so don't want to use much product. I only use it on the crown of my head for volume. My hair becomes brittle and kinky but does give me some volume. I visited my hair stylist recently and she said my hair is breaking off around the crown. Not interested in sacrificing my hair for the volume!!

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. The foam doesn’t stay as foam AT ALL no matter how much to shake it. Once you dispense it, it’s like a bubble from a bubble wand and then “pops” immediately leaving behind nothing but a sticky mess. I waited to long to try it so I couldn’t return it but I will never buy this again

PLEASE bring back the original Headstrong Volume Mousse! I have used it daily for years & love it. This new “improved”(NOT!) version is TERRIBLE. The mousse is nothing more than stinky, runny water that leaves a horrible residue.
