Aveeno Skin Relief Healing Ointment for Dry and Cracked Skin - Glycerin - Non-Greasy - 7.2 oz: Unscented, Tube, Sensitive Skin

Bought this because it says non greasy feel. That is incorrect it is super greasy and gross feeling. Disappointed I should have stuck to my normal lotion.

I have very sensitive skin and this unfortunately made me break out into a rash! Be aware that this is a super thick ointment, not a lotion!

This ointment is not shiny or greasy. It is the best eye "cream" I have found yet. Also wonderful lip balm or for wherever you have dry skin and you don't want a shiny greasy feel.

Overall, this product is very rich and moisturizing. However, I think it would be nearly perfect if Aveeno removed one ingredient that is a potential cause for irritation and even eczema (and if they lowered the price some, geez!). It’s very thick and somewhat difficult to spread on dry skin, but that’s a fair price to pay for the benefits of thick ingredients. However… I understand sodium cetearyl sulfate is used as an emulsifier here to help combine and spread the thick ingredients, …but it is also used as a foaming agent in things like body washes. As someone sensitive to sulfates, this sulfate is definitely not as irritating as sodium lauryl sulfate, but I would REALLY prefer it be removed from a leave-on/no-rinse formulation made for people with sensitive skin! I can’t think of any other reason why I can’t use this on my lips without some irritation, the rest of the ingredients look either great or at least “okay.” Because of this irritation, I am hesitant to use the product on my occasional eczema (intended use!!) and psoriasis, which was specifically why I bought it 😭 At least I got it with a coupon I do like to apply it on my hands, especially my cuticles, overnight. I find that it does not have a very greasy dry down, and I’ll even rub in some Vaseline on top of it to further lock in moisture. If you’re not sensitive to sulfates, I could see it being really helpful for rough elbows, etc.. But if you experience irritation, consider the sulfate. I’d gladly settle for a greasier finish or thinner product if it meant getting rid of the sulfate!

I purchased this today and I absolutely hate it. It feels like I put glue on my skin and it stays that way. Just thick and tacky and awful. I then tried using less of it and put it on damp skin. It still feels tacky hours later. Just not for me.

Hydrating and absorbs quickly. This is my new go to for hands and feet at night, as well as nose and lips! So glad Jillian Gottlieb recommended this on Instagram.

this is amazing for people with really dry skin I had flaky skin due to the dry cold weather and this helped it almost immediately within an hour I saw immediate results

Only thing that helped my bfs dry/cracked hands! We’ve tried so many different lotions some burn him or don’t work but this is a quick fix!

I really love this stuff. My heels were cracked before and I put a little bit of this on every day and I have baby feet now.

I did not like this product at all, it felt like Vaseline going onto the skin. I had to wash it off, I hate the big greasy feeling on my face. But it did help my dry flakes but couldn’t deal with the texture

This product heals all. I even use it on my lips. Hands down the best product aveeno makes. Wow.

So far this is the only lotion that will help my dry elbow heal. It feels very moisturizing and feels good on my hands like it is actually moisturizing them. However the reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars is because even though it says Non-Greasy feel, it definitely feels greasy. As someone who doesn’t like the feel of greasy lotion on their hands, mainly palms, it’s a bit annoying. Not super terrible tho.

I usually get really dry skin, especially during the winter. But honestly, this Aveeno skin relieve healing ointment is such a game changer!My feet are dry and they crack, so I will apply ointment at night time and put socks on my feet and in the morning my skin feels amazing and smooth no more crackle skin.

Use the cream oitment-sensitive skin, dry-crack, 72hrs for feet, heel, lips, hands. I used it for 3 weeks and I like it but I don't like the feeling of the cream is too sticky and I don't like the creams sticky, in all creams they feel sticky, it is fine that this sticky but it only lasted for a while or 5 minutes. I also used it on my lips and on my lower lip it swells a little and I get a little bit, I have something like a small crust or dry skin, I don't know why This happens to me on my lower lip, but I have no allergies and the product says it has no allergy.

It's back!! I bought this in 2019 or 2020 (the original version in a tub) when my hands were so dry from the winter that they were cracked and bleeding. I don't like petrolatum and I'm allergic to lanolin, so this was a lifesaver, and then I couldn't find it for years. I'm so glad it's been reformulated and rereleased! It actually soaks into my hands, doesn't leave them greasy, and leaves them soft and hydrated.

It’s not hydrating. Feels gross on lips. A lot of the reviews are from testers who received free products. I love the body moisturizer and hand lotion from this line.
