Q: Does the chair only rock or does it bounce in the stationary/non-rocking position? In other words, is rocking consider bouncing here?

A: That's what I'm wondering, I just bought it and it doesn't seem to bounce. Personally this is the worst thing I've bought for my baby. Also this price for what it doesn't do astounds me.

A: The vibration and sound is one button. They are turned on and off together and are not able to do one without the other.

A: Davey, thanks for your question! The Alpine does not bounce by itself. The baby’s movement will provide motion in the bouncer, or you can gently bounce it yourself. Hope this helps!

The only thing I like about this bouncer is that it’s aesthetically pleasing, other than that I hate it and so does my baby. It doesn’t bounce - I don’t think I could even bounce it as an adult. The “rocker” mode is very choppy and not smooth and you have to rock it yourself while your baby looks at you so bored with the two toys that hang down. It has one button (vibration + 1 song) combined. It turns off within 10 min. There is no vibration only mode. The toy bar - LOL never stays on. And has smacked me in the face twice. I just honestly wish I would have returned this bouncer. Instead I went to Target and got the $29 one and it’s 100x better.

This is a seat, not a bouncer. Don’t read the reviews from the people who got the bouncer as part of a promotion. Save your money!

Went to use product and when the vibration and music feature is on there is a load motor noise coming from the music box. You cannot hear the music over this noise.

Lightweight and folds down for easy portability/storage. The only downsides are it requires a “c” size battery that is not included and the leg sticks out. It was inconvenient to have to go to the store with a baby for a battery. The leg also sticks out the front. My husband and I have both stubbed our toe and tripped over it. I would have liked another switch to separate the music from the bouncing. Great quality and should last for years to come.

I absolutely loved this chair at first. We got two - one for upstairs where our bedroom and shower are, and one for downstairs where the living spaces are and we spend most of our day. One of the chairs stopped vibrating within a week. The other one was doing great, so I thought the broken one was just a dud. So we replaced the broken one with the same thing. The one that was doing great before is now broken. It lasted 5 weeks. Cute chair, love the colors, awesome when it works!!! But now that the other one has also stopped vibrating, it’s a really disappointing product and a total hassle to deal with while recovering with a newborn.

While this product is good quality, I would not recommend it. The vibration and sound are one button, so you can't do one or the other. Not worth the price.

It has a Bar that hooks in with toys. But the bar always pops odd so I just leave it off. It has a vibrating and sound feature. But only plays one song. It can sit up or lay flat. Cover comes off for easy washing.

The battery compartment was a little frustrating for me, but I think that was just me. Battery life is about average. Cover is easy to remove when washing is necessary. I particularly love that this reclines all the way back and comes all the way up. The feature to make it rock or lock into place is another wonderful feature. The music that plays is a nice volume that doesn’t become annoying and the vibration of the chair is light and comforting. I am a mother of five children so I have seen my fair share of items like this and this in my opinion is the best in the products available like this. I love that it comes with a carry case for traveling from place to place. My only complaint is the cover being a plain cover and no others with a pattern to order for some variety. Other than that, it’s sturdy, good quality, and offers every feature I want to see in an item like this as a mother.

This bouncer is awful. It only has one switch that is both vibration and music. The vibration and music are so loud that it disturbs the baby. Definitely not worth the price. Most positive reviews were part of a promotion. Don’t waste your money

It reclines really well (it folds flat for storage too and that is so great because baby stuff can take so much space) and easily, it is light weight and easy to transport, plus the cover makes it easy to and so convenient to transport from one point to another without risking it to get all disgusting (tho you can remove the cover, it washes nicely).

This is my favorite rocker/bouncer. Baby loves the toy bar. Bought this to take on vacation because it folds down, is lightweight and comes with a carry bag. It looks good in my living room, too.

We bought this in July, started using it in late August and it just stopped playing music and vibrating three months later. This is such a bummer because we were excited to have this for awhile. We thought it would be better than our Summer Infant bouncer that stopped after a few months, but this one lasted for an even shorter period. I'll give it two stars because while the baby used it, it was very good.
