The Snuggle Nest™ Portable Bassinet creates a comfortable spot for your baby to sleep and relax – at home and on the go. The updated design features rigid, 9-inch tall vented walls with fold out legs creating a secure space for your baby to sleep. The tall walls are lined with a soft, comfort-mesh helping to provide ample air circulation and breathability. Because we know little ones can be messy, the included sheet and mattress along with the bassinet's cover can be removed and machine washed. A: Hi Gia, The Snuggle Nest Portable Infant Bassinet is safe to sue for unsupervised sleep so long as the product is on a flat, firm surface. The product is intended to be used from birth until baby starts trying to sit up or has reached 20 lbs, whichever comes first.

The frame is sturdy when in locked positions and tip resistant (did not tip when cat leaned on edge). My only gripe is the middle portion sags just slightly when pressed down with just a hand. Nothing a folded blanket (underneath the whole bassinet or mattress pad), cardboard or other block cut out couldn't fix to help keep the center lifted. As its a full time baby bed for me, maybe including a plastic accessory liner for under the mattress could help that issue. Not a big issue if just using for a pet bed.

Honestly, I would have given this 5 stars because logistically this is everything that I need! It definitely fits in a large suitcase to check. It has breathable mesh all around, so I don’t have to worry about the baby at night. When you unfold it, it’s very sturdy and I love the outside quality. However, the actual mattress pad the baby has to sleep on is very thin!! So thin that I don’t see a difference with just sleeping on a thicker blanket- for real that thin. I understand it has to be foldable, but they could’ve made it with slightly thicker foam. You can see in my picture that my finger is actually thicker than the mattress pad😫 If you are traveling and staying in a hotel, I think it would be better to just ask for a double room and have your baby sleep on one of the double beds. So if you are traveling and staying in a hotel, I would not recommend buying this.

Sheets Shrink Making Unuasable

We washed the sheet per manufacturer instructions (warm and tumble dry low) and it shrank to the point of being unusable. We contacted the manufacturer, the sent us new sheets, this time we washed on cold and line dried and they still shrunk. Would not recommend this product.

This is only good for travel purposes. You must lay this on a solid flat surface. Even then, the bassinet wobbles. I bought this because we don't have much room for a standing bassinet. Will be returning and making room for a standing bassinet.

Great travel solution if you don’t have room for a pack and play. But, because it’s a compact bassinet, putting a sheet on the mattress it comes with is difficult because the mattress is foldable, so the sheet doesn’t sit flat. Fine for my older baby, but would be wary of a newborn in this and would omit a bassinet sheet.

It unfolds in about 5 seconds. I like that it collapses on itself quite easily. However, I do wish it came with a protective case for travel so the fabric doesn’t get dirty. Also, the mattress could be a little thicker but being used how I’ve used it, it’s been fine! I use it primarily when I go over to someone’s home and a handy little device for nap time. It is so small and compact and easy to keep in the car. I imagine. It would be great for travel too since its size is so small it wouldn’t take up much room in a checked bag.

One of the side locking bars was missing the button to hold into place. Seems like it will still hold together since it’s just on one side but would’ve been nice to have all the pieces.

The bassinet is sturdy. I loved having my daughter so close to me when traveling. It was also useful to put her in awake since we didn’t always feel comfortable putting her on the ground in new places. It does best fit babies 5 months and under as the bassinet recommends. I would suggest this bassinet to any new parent who needs a safe and comfortable travel bassinet.

We recently used this on a trip with our 4 month old, and it was so much easier to pack than her full bassinet. She is on the smaller side for her age, but is close to outgrowing this already. I would say it would work best for the first 3-4 months, but not much past that.

Overall it’s a very simple design but it is super functional and convenient. It’s light and portable, which is easy to move it around. Setting the bassinet up was also super quick. We took it with us on our trip and it was very easy to take apart and set back up. I love that it comes with a carrying case for transportation. Last but not least, this bassinet color matches our decor and doesn’t look like a giant furniture that we can’t wait to get rid of.

However keep in mind it's a bit heavy so you might not want to carry it with you. The mattress is really just a plastic board that feels firm and not breathable. I don't think my baby would be comfortable sleeping on it. Also it's a bit too snug for my 4 month old.
