Q: How thick is the mat they lay on?

submitted by Glo - 3 years ago
  • A: NOT dense, so no matter how lofty they claim it is it is NOT thick at all. you will need additional padding under. Also, the fabric is slippery so baby will kick herself/himself away from the piano.

submitted bysan mas - 3 months ago
  • A: Great question, the mat is approximately 3/16” thick.

Q: Is the piano detachable and does it come with a holder that can be placed in the crib.

submitted by CAunt - 3 years ago
  • A: The holder does NOT hold the piano in place. A 7 week old baby can kick it over or out of reach in no time. The screws easily loosen on their own. Piano slides around on slick mat.

submitted bysan mas - 3 months ago
  • A: Thank you for the question! The Magic Touch Piano is detachable. The product does not include a holder to attach within a crib.

Not very vibrant. The colors are more muted in person than they are in the pictures online. The little pillow is slippery and very useless. It slides out from under baby and gets lodged under neck. If you're not watching, could easily become suffocation risk. The stickers on the piano are peeling as soon as you remove it from the box. Overall, very engaging for baby. Just expected better quality

My 12 week old son lives this! It’s easy to assemble, and the music and modes are nice. I have always been partial to Baby Einstein toys, and this doesn’t disappoint! I like that it grows with your child, and the little piano detaches and is a separate toy for when they get a little older. The only thing I wish it had is a carrying/storage bag.

this toy is the reason why I can get to do things in the mornings! super easy to store, it's educational and entertaining without overstimulating, the only thing I disliked is the little cushion it comes with for tummy time because it slips, so I use my boppy instead, but I would definitely recommend getting this toy

Only keeping because my daughter loves to kick the piano. Its ao flimsy it looks like its going to collapse. The piano cant be secured good so it moves when she kicks it. Shes 4 months old and can pull the structure completely down. I got a $16 one from burlington no piano but its sturdy and literally the same minus the piano lol, the good reviews on this are insane.

Baby’s Favorite, Mom & Dad Approved.

My baby’s favorite toy from 1-8 months! This is an absolutely lovely and well-made product. Samone thought this through really well and all of the attachments and everything are very nicely, spaced, sized, and safe for baby. The piano is his favorite, and he really loves all the different modes. He goes crazy for it all the time and This was some thing someone gave us as a gift. I would definitely recommend this to anyone because it is a very nice developmental toy as well. One of my favorite things to do with him is show him how to do some skills on the piano mode, and he copies me, or tries to. Babies are rough on products so given that this is still going pretty strong, I’m going to call this a successful product five out of five would buy for another person or another baby. The only suggestion I could make is that my baby is now climbing all over this, which caused the legs to warp a bit. Otherwise it isn’t broken and still working very well.

It’s a cute little music gym and is convenient to help keep my 11 week old active. Overall, I like it so far. A couple things I don’t love. First, the piano became less responsive to touch whether it be my babies feet or my own tapping. I thought it might be the batteries so I changed them and it did not improve, that’s a little annoying. Second, she’s only 11 weeks so has literally only kicked at the piano and one of the stickers is already starting to peel off. That does not bode well for when she figures out her hands. Aside from that, it’s a cute gym.

Not durable at all. The stickers peel right off so if you have an older child you will absolutely regret this purchase for your little one. Also the bars fold down really easy and if your baby rolls they can get stuck in them, hazardous. The hanging toys are not very interesting. Not worth the money.

After a few weeks, the Velcro holding the overhead bars together does not stick well which means your baby is in danger of being knocked on the head by the bars and various hanging toys while playing if someone brushes past or the baby kicks the bar while playing. I would be concerned about the safety of this playmat
