Barbie 12.7" Fashionista Pink and Orange Check Dress Doll Black Hair/Brown Eyes

I love barbies and have since I was a little child. This is a gift for my baby, she's 2 and I just know she'll love it. She's finally getting her own small collection of Barbies just like me and I'm so happy so start this with her.

This doll arrived in a package that looked like it was opened and re-taped and the doll’s packaging was severely damaged. Luckily there was a pair of sweatpants (unpackaged) thrown in to somewhat protect the actual doll. Highly disappointed in the condition of the package. Wondering how I am supposed to give this as a gift?

And how pretty are her orange sandals! The height fits my nieces doll house and she Is very attentive to her new doll. My niece absolutely adores it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Barbie doll is suitable for ages 3 and over. It does have removable shoes, so be cautious with that. Her outfit is fun and colorful. Her hair is soft and long, which makes styling her hair easy. Her features make her young looking, which helps little girls relate and want to carry her everwhere.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very basic Barbie doll, minus ugg boots and the pumpkin spice latte. Those might have spiced her up a little, pun intended. From her photo, I was hoping for a little more presence when she arrived. She has the easy, if not boring, knee length dress and orange Birkenstock type platform sandals. The Barbie head on the soles is a nice touch, but it’s hard to see. The twisted bowtie top of the dress is cute. I like that she has what seems to be the “tall” Barbie body. I really like that different body types finally made it to Barbie. I’m not sure if all fashions fit the different bodies though? The hair is decent, soft. I still don’t like rubber band kinks that end up in the hair from the box and I really, really hate the plastic tabs that I have to cut and pull out with a needle nose pliers from every Barbie’s head, including this one. Quality wise, she feels super light. I am not sure if that is intentional for little hands playing with them, but it makes me think of cheap, dollar store toys. I don’t really care for whatever screening process they use now for doll faces but the lips, teeth, eyebrows, and eye paint look grainy and poor quality like it’s made out of plastic from a 3D printer. The right eye is also kind of “wonky” as we doll collectors say. You can tell it is positioned off of the eye spot a little. It looks like the “paint” could easily be scraped off. As far as keeping the child’s attention, this doll has been sitting waiting for my 6 year old daughter to want to open it and she’s barely looked at it. It might be lack of accessories and/or gimmicks (she likes the Color Reveal dolls), but she’s only held it for less than a minute so far. Couldn’t even get a picture of her holding it. Interest is next to nil. So, unfortunately this doll hasn’t been a hit. She will likely end up on the growing pile of Barbies in my daughter’s bin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Simple Barbie limited articulation like older generation Barbie’s. No bend at either knees or elbows. Smaller clothing articles such as shoes may not be safe for younger children. Packaging was simple portable not overbearing.
