BARK Afraid of the Bark Halloween W & W's Candy Food Shaped Plush Dog Toy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received the BARK Halloween W&W dog toy, and while I really wanted to love it (especially because the design is super cute and festive), it unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations. The concept and visual appeal are definitely a win — it’s fun, themed perfectly for Halloween, and feels like a treat for both pets and their humans in terms of aesthetics. My dog was immediately interested when I gave it to them, and I appreciated the initial excitement. However, the durability just wasn’t there. Within minutes, my medium-sized dog had already started to tear it apart. The seams came undone pretty quickly, and the stuffing was everywhere shortly after. For a toy that’s part of a holiday collection, I hoped it would at least last through the season — but it barely lasted one play session. It’s marketed more like a play toy than a plush novelty, so I expected a bit more strength, especially considering BARK’s reputation for quality. The materials are soft and safe, which is great, but I wouldn’t recommend this toy for moderate or heavy chewers. It might be better suited for very gentle dogs or for photo props and seasonal decor. I do appreciate the creative theme and the packaging — BARK always nails the holiday vibes — but in terms of function and longevity, it just didn’t hold up. Overall, I’m giving this toy 2 stars because while it gets points for cuteness and creativity, it fell short in durability and value. If you're looking for something that your pup can actually play with for more than a few minutes, this might not be the best pick.

It didn’t last at all for my tough chewer dogs I was highly upset usually the bark box super chewer toys are our favorite but this one was not it!!

I love that it has a chocolate flavor, it can be chewed, it has a barking sound, it's quite loud. The medium size is just right for him to grab and carry around, and the squeaker keeps him entertained without driving me crazy. It feels sturdy, even with lots of chewing, and the candy design is super cute. Definitely one of his new favorites! I think he likes the mint scent?
