The scent was very strong and all I could think is this is probably so toxic to breathe in. If you’re not careful it will leave a white cast in your hair.

It is effective at removing oil and providing some extra volume. However, it does leave that slight powdery white cast behind. Eventually it fades, but it is noticeable. The scent is not my favorite; it smells like a bathroom room spray. Not horrible but I’ve had better.

In recently washed hair it adds just enough grip for pins, clips and bun makers to stay put. In day old hair it refreshens and lightens the weight so it feels clean. Either scenario adds the right amount of volume and my hair feels like, well, my hair. Batiste Cool & Crisp Fresh adds an extra level of awesomeness in a hot summer season. This is a grail product for sure!
