Made with 2% diphenhydramine HCI topical analgesic and 0.1% zinc acetate skin protectant, the anti-itch pen begins to work on contact to temporarily relieve the pain and itching associated with most outdoor itches including insect bites, mosquito bites, sunburn, scrapes, minor skin irritations, burns, and cuts. This topical analgesic itch pen soothes rash-es caused by poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac. The easy-to-use bug bite itch relief stick can be applied directly to insect and mosquito bites and is intended for ages two and up. To use the extra strength anti-itch stick, hold the stick straight down over affected area and press the tip repeatedly until liquid flows, then dab sparingly. Can't get enough out of the tube to have the effect it was intended for. The sponge applicator is insufficient and does not deliver the product to the skin consistently. I'm going to purchase a tube that I can squeeze.

I never ever review products (either positive or negative) but I’m amazed at how bad this product design is I have to say something. I thought it was a spray, it is a cloth applicator that YOU HAVE TO PUSH ONTO THE AFFECTED SKIN. Does that make any sense? Say you have an insect bite, you have to physically press a (not so soft) cloth applicator that barely releases the liquid so you have to do it multiple times and you have to press hard on the skin. Noticing any issues? It makes the situation much much worse because it will make it itch and red even more! The only reason for two starts is that the liquid most likely does work but the application is gosh darn awful. Buy a spray or a gel/cream instead

I really like this Benadryl Extra Strength Anti Itch Relief Stick. It reminds me of an on the go spot treatment pen in the way it’s applied, but it makes it fairly mess free versus a typical cream application. It’s scent free, and dries clear. It’s lightweight and non greasy. This is fast acting, and didn’t irritate my skin. This is the perfect compact, travel friendly anti itch stick!
