It does not have an actual handle. Bentgo offers a lunch bag that was made just to fit these lunchboxes. The lunch bag does have a handle and a shoulder strap. Q: How are multiple layers of plastic supposed to keep the food inside cold? I then have to wrap it in ice packs and into another container? Thats nuts.

First, I want to say that customer support has always been easy and helpful. I generally love these lunch boxes, but we have had a terrible time with the plastic pins that hold the hinges breaking off. I try to handwash so that the plastic does not degrade, but I wish they would use a metal pin for the hinge. We ended up tossing the exterior and just using the tray lid that we purchased for an extra insert and that has held up perfectly. It doesn't have the silicone seal, but I just make sure to put anything with liquid in a different container.
May get moldy and stained so pleade take into consideration

I love how many compartments there are and how tightly sealed it is! However, because of how thick it is, it does make it hard to keep the food inside cool. I tried the removal ice pack lunch box for my son too! On top of that, it gets stains and molded easily after a while if you don’t properly care for it. I’m not sure that I would recommend this to anyone because of the inside temperature, staining, molding, and limited space. I had mine for a year and got rid of it. I haven’t brought one since. This product specifically though! It looks great on picture but ideally the portions are for toddlers and snack size for kids. It may work for some and not others.

Been using our bentgo box for about 2 years and absolutely LOVE it. It fits perfect in the lunch box and it washes perfectly clean in the dishwasher. Also, it is easy for our kiddo to open and the compartments are the perfect size.

One of the shells got stained on the silicone pieces from some pasta sauce. I contacted customer service and they provided me with 2 options to try and remove the stain. Unfortunately, it didn’t come off. So they offered to replace the product no questions asked! They made the process very simple and easy. Wish other companies had excellent service as they have!

My sister received a bentgo kids lunchbox as a gift, and unfortunately we opened it to find that it was broken into to pieces. I reached out the Bentgo Customer Support using the card information included in the box and got a quick response by email. They were very patient and kind while helping. We love our bentgo boxes and use them daily for our girl’s lunches. We have three bentgo boxes and they have held up great, especially with two toddlers who aren’t always very gentle. The boxes are easy to open, which my children can do all on their own. They were able to open them by themselves at 18 months old. The boxes are easy to clean. I hand wash them but you can wash the middle piece on the top rack of your dishwasher as well. I did have a question for customer service and I was very happy with how quickly they were available to talk with me and resolve the issue. Overall, I have been very pleased with this product and company as a whole!

I bought two of these a year ago and started using one. It worked well, my 4 year old had no problem opening and closing. He is very picky about his food and if something gets mixed up he will not touch anything but this container is a life saver because it keeps everything separate and it had never leaked outside neither between the compartment. I tried other companies bento and they were not as functional. Also their customer service is very good. One of my container was hard to open and close and they replaced it right away.

I bought a couple of these for my kids a couple weeks ago, and we are already obsessed. They eat more of their lunch now. They don’t have a ton of time in the cafeteria and having everything in one spot really helps. I honestly believe them visually seeing everything in front of them without having to dig one thing at a time from their lunchbox has made the biggest difference. Plus, nothing leaks, it’s easy to clean, and just pretty. Leaving town this weekend and already have them ready to go for the long car ride!

I bought the kids bentgo In July of 2021. We have used it borderline everyday since then. I love this thing, it was easy for my kindergartner to open, I have never had a problem with leaking, my child loves all the options he has for lunch and I love not having to use bags for everything. It recently broke, I sent an email and in 12 hours they placed a new one in the mail! I’ll be a customer forever!

My daughter has been using this for a couple of years. It’s great for little hands and easy for her to open herself at school. The compartments are wonderful to keep items dry and separated. It is leakproof! The lunchbox did have some mild forming around the rubber lid. I take care in fully drying however it still happened. I contacted customer service and they were great in offering a replacement. I recommend signing up for extended warranty regularly cleaning the rubber with baking soda and vinegar which I’m going to start doing when I get my replacement.
