I love this lunchbox. I would use it for myself even. The compartments are a little big for my kid as of right now. She prefers smaller amounts with more options and it’s just 3 compartments. I just add a little Tupperware inside the longer compartment if I’m going to pack fruit or veggies and something else that she wouldn’t want touching. I think this lunchbox keeps items cooler than the plastic one. I use the ice packs and insulated bag for both. This box will fit in the insulated kids bag but will leave no room for anything else in bag like the plastic one. This only matters when I pack a juice box that cannot fit and stay cool inside the bag. All in all very nice and will last years.

Not leak proof between compartments
I bought two of these for my children. We have quickly learned that foods do not stay separate inside the container. The advertised visuals show yogurt and dips, but in our experience these items do not remain separate. I have only hand washed lids, and still even whole grapes in the larger compartment resulted in soft pretzels in the smaller compartment. After owning many Bentgo products over the years, I am shocked and disappointed in these.

Weak lid latch
Latch on lid broke on day one. Poor design on latches. I should have seen it sooner bc it’s so obviously flimsy. Rest of product seems fine. Was a bit shallow. Would rather it be deeper and smaller in length but I trusted the brand. Would not buy again or recommend.

Lid already cracking and won't stay shut
We've been using bentgo products for years now with ZERO issues. These new stainless steel boxes miss the mark. Didn't even make it through the first week of school. Hand washed only... No dishwasher used. My son is a 4th grader who takes care of his things. Super disappointed.

Poor quality lid
I ordered both the black and pink lunch boxes. The first black one arrived defective, so I returned it and ordered a replacement. The replacement black one arrived fine, but the pink one arrived with the same defect. It seems like the lid connection is a weak point and may eventually break.

Leakage from one partition to another
The lunch box is not leak-proof between the compartments. Food and liquids leak from one partition into another, causing everything to mix together. This defeats the purpose of having separate compartments and makes the lunch box inconvenient to use. Very disappointing.

Maybe mine is defective but it keeps coming opened in my daughter’s backpack. I check to make sure everything is lined up and secure before I put it in the backpack and by the time I go to put it in the fridge in her daycare class at least one side has come undone and so the sections have mixed and sometimes it has leaked in the backpack. This has happened all 4 times I’ve used it so I think I’m going to stop using it because it’s mess.

Do not buy this if you are looking for a box that can actually hold heat well and is leak proof. Other than that, it's a basic lunch box, but not worth 30 bucks at all. If you care about aesthetic and name branding, then sure, but you could get a way better lunch box or same quality one for half the price or less. Will not buy again
