Q: Any artificial sweeteners?

submitted by hc - 7 years ago
  • A: As answered in one of the questions above; sucralose is listed as a sugar sweetener, and discovered Acesulfame potassium, a calorie-free sugar substitute is as well.

submitted bySixty - 6 years ago
  • A: Be aware...sucralose is SPLENDA, an artificial sweetener. No thanks.

submitted byLisa CT - 6 years ago

Q: Can we please have an image of the nutrition label? I'm interested in knowing how many grams of protein and fiber this contains. Thanks!

I noticed it contains SUCRALOSE. AKA Splenda. If you are watching blood sugar and AIC, this is a sweetener to AVOID. Retracting my use and recommendation of this and other flavors. Highly disappointed.

It was promising, but it was a let down

I bought this because it seemed to have okay reviews and looked really promising. However, I'm horribly disappointed. It's barely edible and has this horrid aftertaste like I've eaten a mouthful of sweet and low. Not sure what the taste is coming from though, but it's impossible to cover up that nasty aftertaste flavor.

I used to love this oatmeal. I just bought a new box today and sadly something changed or they forgot to add the sugar and cinnamon or the flavoring at all. It tastes like plain oatmeal. I am nervous to eat it in case something else is wrong with it. I guess it's going in the garbage.

Some Packets - Boxes have Zero Flavor

Nutritionally great but inconsistent manufacturing, some boxes and packets have much more flavor and others have next to no or no flavor at all. They really need to learn how to mix the product. I have seen where the extra flavor "powder: is in some packets that have almost too much, and then others are like zero flavor at all.

I am so disappointed in the new box of cinnamon roll flavor better oats. The last box I had wad so delicious and this morning I ate something that was barely edible. I'm planning on being the opened box back and the second unopened box. I'm very sad about this formerly great cereal being ruined by whatever you did

This has been my favorite oatmeal for years but there was a giant chunk of what looked to be a cockroach’s back in one of the packs. Will be switching brands now.

My kids and I have been eating this oatmeal for years. The most recent box of this oatmeal tastes horrible now. It tastes like the cinnamon was replaced by coffee grinds. So gross now. What happened?

Disappointed and hot - 4 months ago, Verified purchaser
This was a very good oatmeal I really like it, it's much healthier than other brands. But don't make it like the directions that's way too much water and you'll have soup trust me I tried. Also I added extra cinnamon because I thought it needed it.

I have been eating this oatmeal for years and have always loved it. Just ordered three boxes and when I opened the box I bought, it had a bland taste-like they forgot to put cinnamon in it. I opened another box and it tasted the same. This is not the flavor I am used to. What is different? Very disappointed.

Tastes like artificial flavoring for a cheap diet product. I threw it all away. Steel cut oats in the same brand are way better.

The entire box of 100 calorie cinnamon roll oats have a tiny hole in the tube. It's very hard to fill with water. Very disappointed with product.

I wanted to love these, but the bitter weird chemical aftertaste killed it for me. Sadly, the rest will be going in the trash. The packaging with the measuring cup is great, but I'd rather have real sugar and a few more calories than the unbearable chemical taste.

I hate to leave a bad review because I love Better Oats' other products but this one was almost inedible. As another reviewer mentioned, it tasted as if there were a soapy residue in the bowl (there wasn't in my case. I also washed the spoon to make sure it wasn't somehow the spoon but the taste definitely came from the oatmeal). Again, hate to leave a bad review but will stay far away from this.

I thought the flavor was great, but every box I've bought so far, has rancid flaxseed. It tastes like nasty fish oil and is so gross. Either better QC on the flaxseed or leave it out!

Not sure what others are saying is wrong. This tastes exactly like you’d expect Cinnamon Roll Oatmeal to taste like. Follow directions and let sit after stirring to achieve best results. I always sprinkle a dash of cinnamon on top. Great breakfast for those with a sweet tooth

I wondered why this kind tasted bad. The other (not 100 calorie) varieties have been delicious. Lesson learned.

Dis.gust.ing! There’s actual sugar in the ingredients so why also add Sucralose? Gave it a horrid metallic bitter aftertaste. I literally dumped the rest of my bowl into the box and chucked the whole thing.
