Finally broke down and bought this for my 6 yr old daughter. I think it is overpriced for what it does. Maybe if an older child was really into it they could do more with it. It doesn’t work sometimes, it will only show a line instead of the animal and you have to mess with it for it to go back to normal. It makes a flipping sound when it is open. I would not recommend. There are comparable toys that work better and cheaper.

i was excited to gove cousin this for christmas cause i used to love tamagotchi but its kinda confusing how to use and then i guess for children nowadays this is not very engaging. it is really cool how it works and looks but it gets messed up very easily. my first one didnt work. the second one i got after being messed around for a bit stopped working too. has a lot of rules on what to do to prevent flap from breaking that kids just dont remember.

My 8 year old bought this toy because she was excited to have something similar to a Tamagotchi that she could pet — the concept is completely up her alley. She was VERY bummed that it doesn’t at all feel like you’re petting the animal. Additionally, the way the toy makes the digital pet (by swinging a piece of lit up plastic back and forth) is an absolute sensory nightmare — neither one of us could stand to look at it for more than a few seconds at a time, and the flapping noise was super irritating as well. Very grateful Target took it back and refunded her money even though she’d opened the packaging!

The blinking makes me immediately sick, it has a warning for epilepsy on the box. It also has a warning about inhaling magnets and about not getting it close to any electronics because of the magnets. Returning for sure.

My ten-year-old daughter really enjoys playing with her bitzee. I do think it is prettyu decent quality for the price. She is able to take it places with her. It is nice that it is so small. Also, this pocket-sized toy is not too noisy so that is a huge plus! I highly recommend this interactive toy.
