You have to hold the button down to make it "froth" which undoubtedly make everything spill and splash everywhere. Batteries not included so do not buy while on a trip. So cheaply made that the cover is soo difficult to to snap on and is crooked. What a waste even on sale.

For optimal results, we recommend using the SCHIUMA with 2-4oz of cold milk or milk alternative; submerge the whisk in the liquid, and while operating, gently raise and lower the SCHIUMA for 20-30 seconds. To secure the batter cap, ensure that the curve of the cap is aligned with the curve of the device’s base, and then press firmly until the tabs snap into place. We recommend taking care when cleaning the SCHIUMA to make sure only the whisk and post come into contact with water; often simply running the frother in a small amount of hot, soapy water immediately after use (and rinsing off any suds) is enough to keep the SCHIUMA clean in between uses. Aside from the batteries, there is nothing inside the SCHIUMA that could have leaked.
