Q: how difficult is assembly?
submitted by Argent51 - 2 years ago
A: It's a pain, have someone to help you. The most difficult thing is the assembly for the tension that goes through the handle bar part and the instructions are poorly written

Q: Do you need additional tools for assembly or will any tools be included with bike?

This bike arrived in 2 days. Bike was packed well. Box was easy to open. Half of the bike was preassembled. Directions were simple to follow. I did need help installing the bar that attaches to the peddle housing and computer. There is a tension rod that needs a lot of strength to pull to slide into place. Otherwise it was straightforward and took about 35 minutes after I laid everything out.

This bike is of very cheap, light weight material. Does not sit evenly on the floor. When trying to use it, I feel like I might tip over.

I was very happy with the unit at first, but then the cardio feature stopped working after one month. It won't read my pulse anymore. I read other reviews where they say the bike is quiet; not for me. It's actually pretty noisy when I use it. Not sure if I got a faulty unit. The bottom part of the seat also came in damaged (see picture). Finally, it was fairly easy to assemble.

Just what I was looking for. Whisper quiet when using, makes it easy to watch TV, you don't have to turn up the volume. Easy to assemble, although I had to look at the instructions a few times to figure out the tension wire assembly. It would, also, help a lot if the wires were color coded, as a senior wearing bifocals, it was difficult to see the difference in the connectors. But, after assembling this one, it would take half the time to do it again- took me a couple hours, but, I was watching a football game at the same time.

This bike works fine for someone looking to do an easy work out. Assembly was fine with one person, but would be easier with two people. The bolts can come loose easily if you don't tighten them and pedal vigorously and the post to level it on the ground is not the best, so there might be a little instability. Overall, it works fine for my purposes.

One concern was the flexibility to accommodate different height (shorter) individuals. My wife is about 5'2" and has a new total knee replacement and I am 5'11" and want to use the bike for exercising. This bike has both an adjustable seat (up, down, forward and back) and a frame adjustment to accommodate our different requirements. This bike is so compact we do not bother to out it away or move it when not in use. Very happy with it so far.
